I recently had a nice experience at Woods of Wirral. Neal was incredibly helpful and transparent throughout the entire process. provide honest information about the car and answered all my questions with patience. It was refreshing to deal with a dealership that values integrity. I highly recommend Woods of Wirral for anyone looking for a trustworthy and supportive car buying experience.
Incredibly pleased to pick up my new car today from Woods of Wirral! All the team were incredibly helpful and guiding, which made the whole process simple and enjoyable, allowing me to pick up my new car stress free! Absolutely over the moon !!!
Never thought buying a car, let alone financing one would be so easy. Neal is such a lovely person. The whole process took less than a week to complete. The service was amazing and the application process was so easy. Neal talked me through everything. The collection was arranged quickly. The car was in such a condition that it felt like we were getting a brand-new car. And the car was perfect. I won't be going anywhere else for my next car. Recommend Woods of Wirral and Neal. Thank you Neal for all your help.
Purchased a BMW 2 series from woods of Wirral. Mike was professional and approachable. There was zero pressure when viewing the car and aloud time to process the information and make an informed decision. Payment process and handover was smooth and Mike was very accommodating changing appointment times for handover due to unforeseen circumstances as the day unfolded…. Also sorted the tax with me there and then to be drive away… Would recommend Woods of Wirral!
With what started as a pleasant experience in purchasing a beautiful Jag XF-S, has gradually turned out to be quite a disappointing one. I have now been left feeling dubious about using Woods of Wirral again or the garage's they use for their pre-sale checks and MOT's. So my experience started off with seeing a car on Auto-Trader in February 2022. Although priced on the higher side of the market at the time, I went ahead with my enquiry due to the car being the spec and colour i wanted and within a 40 minute commute to view! Aidan quickly responded to the enquiry but explained that due to some tarmac works happening on their forecourt, a viewing might need to be the following week, which was absolutely fine with myself. Within an hour or so after this, I receive another call telling me I can view the car over the weekend as they've managed to move it to make it available for a test drive. Upon showing up, i was actually disappointed on initial viewing as the car was filthy, with a broken sunglasses case and bad wear marks on the leather drivers seat. However, testing the vehicle, i feel in love. Aidan promised the seat will look 100x better wants his contractor restores it, agreed to replace the sunglasses holder and promised a refund on a deposit if i were to be disappointed upon coming back. I agreed with this after having inspected the car as best as I could not being a mechanic!. The car was priced just below £25,000 which was seen as about £1,500 above the average for the same car/age/mileage etc. I tried to haggle but told there is no wiggle room. But I really wanted this car and the nearest one that ticked the boxes after this was more than 2 hours away. So i couldn't let this one go. The big day.... I go to collect the car at the beginning of March 22. I arrive, it is stored away having been cleaned etc. I get to view the car.. it looks amazing. I was really happy.. then i spot a small defect in the front bumper really low down. A repair of a crack. It didn't look like much to me, like the previous owner went up a low curb. I mentioned this as I hadn't noticed it, to which it was brushed over and i stupidly just accepted my own assessment with no push for a price reduction. I'm shown the 99 point check a 3rd party garage had provided an indy BMW Specialist I believe. No advisories, all good, MOT also the same. I'd already check the previous MOT History and service history too and the HPI check provided by Aidan confirmed no Category write offs etc. All in all, everything looks pretty good, 90-95% there I'd say, which was enough for me buying a second hand car that was 6 years old. I declined the warranty on offer and purchased my own with RAC which had higher coverage for a similar price I drive away a pretty happy man and enjoy the car for 2 months... Over 6 months, i receive numerous electrical faults, find out a rear wheel was welded/repaired and the small crack repair at the front, was actually from a much bigger accident with more damage behind the bumper!! All in all, the car cost me £1500 in various repairs and diagnostics within 6 months of ownership, none of which are warranty items. I sent emails to Aidan to try and resolve these issues in some way having already paid £1,500 for the repairs. Initially i was ignored and then finally a reply after chasing. No resolution was offered in the slightest. Today I have MOT'd my car and found out a second wheel has been repaired previously. These advisories were NOT added to the MOT nor the 99 point check!!! So either Woods are choosing to ignore or conceal items, or they are using garages that do not provide honest/genuine assessments of their second hand vehicles. I will not be returning either way and suggest Woods find new garages to complete HONEST work for them! Unfortunately i've run out of characters to give full descriptions of the issues but will try to add to the comments!
Update Response you taking my car without my consent and allegedly having it diagnosed with out my consent and then telling me it will cost between 8k to 10k to fix without any evidence you then proceeded to offer to still buy my car for EIGHT THOUSAND POUNDS less than was agreed with zero evidence of the alleged diagnostic findings and you think this was not you taking advantage of me a vulnerable disabled person and the situation highly suspicious DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. First of they force you to pay a £500 deposit and if there's any reason the deal doesn't complete ie you don't like the vehicle when viewed in person because you've only seen the vehicle online or any other reason they just keep your money even though I was told I would get my full refund back. Just a response to your comments regarding the deposit you say I chose to leave a deposit which is a blatant lie as I was told via the WhatsApp chat that it was your policy so had to pay the deposit so was forced to pay which I have proof of. As regarding you taking my car without my consent and allegedly having it looked at by you specialists and allegedly being told it was a major gearbox fault and being then being told it was terminal and would need to be recovered and had been quoted 8k to 10k to be repaired which I couldn’t understand as just driven over 200 miles fault free and when we left I got in the car and drove home fault free. But then you still tried to buy the car of me 8k below what we agreed which I found to be very suspicious and felt as if you where taking advantage of a vulnerable disabled person. You say that I was happy with your car which is another blatant lie as the car was not what I expected and would not of purchased regardless of these issues. You say you incurred costs with the alleged diagnostic which you chose to take my car without my consent and have the work done of your own back. As regards to you losing other customers on your vehicle is unlikely as you have had the car for months and months prior to me coming to view and is still for sale months after. As for being dishonest that’s rich coming from you. So after to clarify you said gearbox was terminal and would cost 8k to 10k to fix well was a couple of hundred so you try to purchase my car 8k below the agreed price very dishonest and suspicious. As regards customers lost you’ve had the car for months and months and is still for sale so again very suspicious. And I was not going to purchase the car as not what I expected so I’m completely entitled to a full refund. All this is because you think I was trying to offload the car car on you which is completely wrong. As this being a last ditch attempt to get my fully entitled refund back is also not true as this is far from over hope this clarifies my position on this
We were devastated when our Land Rover was stolen from Liverpool Airport. We went to Woods of Wirral just before Christmas to see what was available and we picked up 2 replacement cars. It was hassle free and Neil was really helpful and knowledgeable. The finance went through smoothly and the cars are great. We would thoroughly recommend Woods.
I picked up my car today and couldn't recommend Woods of Wirral enough. They gave me a reasonable trade in value on my car and didn't push or give the hard sale like I've experienced in other dealerships. I was given time to look around the car and it was presented in a nice clean show room. Neal helped me with any questions I had and guided me through the purchase calmly and professionally. The car was as described and Neal made the purchase easy and smooth. Driving a manual again has put a smile on my face. Wouldn't hesitate to come back here or recommend to others.
Bought our bmw 420d of Mike and the team. Couldn't fault in anyway . Mike was very professional and courtesy. Explained everything in detail and went above and beyond to help us get the car. Would highly recommend. Thanks again Mike.
Purchased a 2017 Volvo S90 in December lovely motor.. took car to dealer to get cambelt & gearbox serviced and was told there was an oil leak and wrong colour coolent which woods wasn't happy paying the bill and said why take it to the dealer its not a new car! New car to me key battery replaced and oil topped up as it was 3/4 full, had 4x alloys buckled, rear shock leaking, boot catch not working, turbo sensor wasn't tight and failed battery & also NSR door is faulty whenntrying to close. Warranty wouldn't cover no repairs, I'm starting to think the car hasn't been serviced with yourselves if you've missed these problems.
