Been renting the same flat with Woods for 3 years.  

From 6 months ago Countrywide, the company who now own Woods, have made renting through Woods very very unpleasant.

Almost every letter and email has a threat of a £30 charge.  

Emails to notify of a flat inspections include a £30 charge threat. 

Letters about letters have a £30 charge threat.

They forget they are dealing with actual people and not just numbers on a screen they can make a profit from.

The personal touch Woods had has gone and it has become a poor facade for the corporate profit driven Countrywide.

We will be looking to rent elsewhere.

I was a tenant renting through woods and had such a terrible time from start to finish, that after 6 months I decided to cut my losses and move out, as they were the management company. I've now rented through a different agency and now staying clear of woods. Shame as the property was lovely. Woods let it down. Avoid. Charged me too much fir initial fees and took over a week to pay it back after numerous calls and requests. Property was filthy, urine up walls..took over a weeks to even acknowledge this so had to clean it myself. Failure to call me back or even treat any urgent issues fast, also giving false information when moving in about what you're allowed to install, then they threatened to fine me if I didn't comply with their request immediately, which was unfair due to taking 6 months to spot the error in the first place. Very poor. Do not rent through woods.

months to fix a broken shower, only fixed it when we gave notice. Then wouldn't return rent and overcharged for cleaning and ripped off the landlord too!

Woods is run by inept agents who falsely advertise their properties (wrongly saying our property includes white goods when it doesn’t), forget to give you all your keys on check-in (causing us to have to run about to collect them), and who ignore and avoid contact regarding repairs they don’t deem as urgent (even a whole month of heating/hot water issues in February because the boiler and thermostat were not installed correctly!.. And we’re still waiting!).  When we complained, our issues were down played and were spoken to in a patronising/rude manor. At every point in our renting experience they have gone above and beyond AWFUL. I would not recommend anyone use Woods as an estate agents, even if they are offering you you’re dream home (..it won’t be for long) - avoid!!

We were with Heritage at the start but they were swallowed up by Woods.  What an appalling service they provide to Landlords. Unresponsive, fail to action 6 monthly visit, fail to do as requested, failed to get back to you.......in fact failed at most things.  Moved to another agent who had a viewing within 24 hours and had a "to let" sign up within the 1st day of being with them.  Thats how to run a business.  Apparently quite a few people are leaving Woods.....I wonder why??
