Overground Station located in Whipps Cross. This station connects Trains to London Liverpool Street and east of the country to Chingford.nnStation looks reasonably clean and tidy. Staff are always there to help you with any queries.nnNo obvious big sign outside the station and if it’s your first time at the location there is a chance you may walk past it. Always use the google Map or ask the people nearby.
Used a couple times, early and late afternoon on a Friday in early October. It’s a solid station overall, and I really must comment on the exceptional amount of covered seating available. Quite unusual, that, in my experience. It would be better if they had lift access. Small station overall, easy to navigate otherwise. As long as you don’t require a lift, it’s a very nice station.
This station has no disabled access only stairs to the platforms. Was quiet when I came here average size ticket hall area.
Good range of independent shops, a few supermarkets, lots of eateries of various cuisines, several hairdressers and charity shops. Overground railway station midway.
I got off at Wood St. coming from Chingford and could not help but notice the GAP Between The Carriage And The Platform Has A VERY LARGE GAP Between Them Which IS VERY DANGEROUS.I have NEVER SEEN A GAP THAT WIDE....I Really think something should be done about it....I can see a TERRIBLE ACCIDENT OCCURRING....Could you look into it. mr.k.jennings.
