It’s a pretty new addition to the tube map, Wood Lane is located on the circle/H&C branch towards Hammersmith. Even though this branch has been around for over 100 years this station was only built in 2008. And with this in mind it’s no surprise that it looks very modern. The station building is pretty nice, navigation is very simple as there are only two platforms for the two sub-surface lines. I particularly like the roundels that have kind of been embedded into the glass. Overall Wood Lane was not too busy when I went but I do like it!
Wood Lane is a really nice clean station that has lifts to both platforms. Circle & Hammersmith & City lines stop here. The station is opposite the old bbc television centre & next to Westfield shopping centre & its also less than a 1 min walk from White City tube station.
Very convenient and easy to travel to Hammersmith Station or stations in the city. Circle Line is always helpful to travel around Zone 1 as it literally circles the same. Zone 1 is where you have all the tourist destinations
The bench is the worst design ever seen by humankind. The "engineers" who built this are pure disgrace to the human nation. I feel like a penguin lost in London, when I try to sit, I slide like a married desparate woman in the DMs of Boris Johnson.
Wood Lane is a London Underground station in the White City area of west London, United Kingdom. It is on the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines, between Latimer Road and Shepherd's Bush Market stations.
Very good for westfields shopping centre however on sports match days avoid this station at all costs, it’s not worth the stress, a quick bus ride will get you to another station like Hammersmith which will not be as busy
Clean and well laid out. Good start for journey into Central London as parking reasonable in nearby Westfield Centre particularly if you sign up free to Smart Parking. £6 for 24 hours. Pictured is view of Grenfell Tower from the back of the station
This station that serves both the Circle Line and Hammersmith & City Line. It's placed in a great location as it's a 1 minute walk away from Westfield London!
Great station for Westfield London. If you have small kids and a pram, or mobility issues, or a tourist and want to get to Westfield from central London THIS IS THE BEST WAY the station has lifts, Westfield is clearly visible and the Hammersmith&City and Circle line trains are full height and air-conditioned with lots of space, better than the Central line that is very busy, hot and no lifts at Shepherds Bush.
