Myself & my 2 kids. 6 & 9 plus my friend, her partner & kids twins 6 & 12 all went last Wednesday in August 2022 we had a fab time. Kids loved it, there were enough people in there but not to make it too busy. The waves & the slides were the kids best parts. Changing rooms were clean, and loved that the hairdryers worked and are free that's a nice touch. Lockers too £1 but comes back out once opened so they are free. Showers were nice & warm also. I will recommend to others & I kno we will definitely be visiting again.
I think this is a great gym. I hired Michelle as my Personal Trainer for 6 sessions. I was a total gym hater and didn't know what to expect from a PT. Michelle was wonderful she was patient yet challenging when I needed to be challenged. She keeps my sessions varied and is a real motivational trainer. Michelle has me running and planking which is amazing considering I am a novice. I now look forward to going.
The poolside, changing rooms and shower cubicles smell of wee. The pool water was full of white bits and there were tissues, plasters and dirt across the pool floor. The pool had so much chlorine my eyes and nose were burning afterwards. The lanes were overcrowded and there were people messing about, they were not there to swim! People were also blocking deep end wall in some places and wouldn't move over this prevented people from stopping at the end for a rest that's quite dangerous. In the changing room, there was a group of men walking around banging on the changing room cubicle doors, playing music and swearing at each other and other customers this happened on my last 2 visits! I saw a member of staff walk through who didn't say anything. I felt very uncomfortable during my time at the centre. I will not be visiting again. This is not a family friendly venue. The pool and facilities are filthy and poor behaviour is not challenged.
I have only been going there since November 2022. We have to use the studio pool on the days where the times are for the disabled it's only for an hour which doesn't give you much time when you have to use the hoist and a few have to use it. The disable parking is there for a reason disable but you still have people parking there and not showing a badge so they can get nearer also parking up on the kerbs what do they think the parking bays are there for. parents with small children and pushchairs need to be able to use the footpaths be more considerate. The facility is there for everyone to use.
Good baths for leisure. Wouldn't recommend the fast flume as hurt my leg on it. The tiles look like they need a good cleaning though but not sure if that's a hygiene risk or it's fine.
Take my children there for swimming lessons. 30 min sessions £23.25 a month however, if your child achieves a certificate/badge, this is an additional cost - not explained when I signed up, although the cost isn't huge, in principle I would expect that if paying for lessons, any achievements/certificates are included in the monthly cost. Changing rooms aren't great, not particular big, struggles to cope with change over of classes, floor looks like its always dirty.
It is a great place, the kids love it. Rain tree and waves. Pre booked slots, online, so it doesn't get too crowded. Very friendly staff too. Entry for Family of 4 is reasonable at £14.50.
Kids swim lessons staff very good .plenty of parking including disabled. Little cafe inside. Toilets aswel.
Great place, swimming for all the family, sauna, steam room, gym, soft play area, cafe. They also do swimming lessons for kids and adults. Easy access.
Couldn't create a free account to prebook a session 'an error has occurred' was the message. OK, glitches happen. Tried to call through and no answer for 5 minutes. Decided to try and turn up. First impressions were that it had a good range of swimming accessories for sale no prices though. Asked for the family swim, 2 adults, 1 child. Server was quite blunt. OK, it's hot, maybe that could be it. Was told 4pm at 3:25pm. I asked if the 3:30 session was full and got a blunt yes. We sat in the cafe for 20 minutes, waiting, had a drink and it was pleasant. The lady serving in the cafe was lovely and made a real effort with my son, which is always lovely, as it encourages him to help with the interaction. Went to the changing rooms and it was quite dirty underfoot OK, people wear outside shoes, we got undressed into our swimming costumes and went on in. Showers for entry and exit we're good. Not too hot/cold. There were also private showers, which is a nice touch. Went into the wave pool. Noticed the small pool for babies and toddlers, this seemed good. The wave pool was small and felt cramped due to the amount of people there. We used the part that connected the main pool to the wave pool, and we're told no, we couldn't go there. Even though it had a connecting route. There was algae on the floor and quite a bit of rubbish about. There didn't seem to be anyone cleaning up. Because we had taken my 3 year old son, he had an extremely small area of pool he could play in/swim in. He wasn't interested in the baby pool, because he likes to swim and jump in the pool, not sit and splash. He couldn't go too deep as he isn't a strong swimmer yet and needs a floaty vest. He can't use the rapids for health and safety reasons understandably. So he had a minimal amount of pool he could use. This didn't seem fair as there was the main pool that was fairly empty not the swimming lanes. It did not feel like value for money at nearly £15 for 2 adults and a 3 year old. We won't be returning for at least a couple of years, until my son is a stronger swimmer.
