Don't usually write reviews but feel I have too for witham libary. As a student at the open university, all my work is done online. I can't concentrate fully at home as I become very distracted. I started studying daily at witham libary and its been a life saver. I get bad sensory overload and anxiety, yet feel so peaceful and relaxed here. Staff are amazing, free coffee and biscuit on days, which has also been a motivation for me to get out of bed and be productive . Good range of books, but honestly can't rate it high enough for the environment, atmosphere, and staff x
Witham library is a wonderful place that has really moved with the times. No being shushed here by a stuffy librarian. If you want quiet upstairs is equipped with computers and is good for reading or work. For kids they have Lego days, rhyme time, craft tables and reading challenges. To round it all off they have a swap area for food donations or for equipment donations, a jigsaw swap and board games you can play in the library. It really is a community place that covers all the bases and ages.
I love this place. It's located in an old cinema. As you'd expect there is a great selection of books, a lovely children's section and a good range of cd's, DVDs and spoken word books. The library is split over two floors with upstairs being mainly non fiction, of which there is also a great selection. It's a very clean, modern and well kept library with very friendly and helpful staff. It's why I've been going there for the last twenty years.
A central location in Witham and quiet place to read with a good catalogue of fiction and nonfiction books to read.
Excellent resources and knowledgeable, helpful staff. Great selection of books of all genre's and truly the community hub. Superb public art dusplay and community information. Children and toddlers story telling club is memorizing too! A credit to the community. Thank You..
Great staff and great service a asset for the town.
Not only for books, but loads of Jigsaws as well and you can even swop them. Bring my Son here most Winter Evenings to do Jigsaws. I know they have a Lego Time each Tuesday, but maybe a suggestion that there could be a similar scheme to the Jigsaws. Staff are very friendly and understanding to my Son.
Staff are fantastic, friendly, informative, and laidback. Nothing is too much bother. Having recently moved to the area they were a source of information. There is always something going on, for such a small town that is quite something. So much more than just books. Loads of stuff available on digital media, as well as computers to use and free WiFi. Sadly libraries are criminally ignored by so many and so under funded. Would be so sad to see this place go.
I love this place! I come weekly to Witham library for Rhyme Time, whilst my son gets creative on the craft table. Great selection of books, great staff, great atmosphere! Highly recommended!!
