The food was good, reasonable price and the staff was nice. They have some kind of kids area, not a lot of things there, but kept them entertained for some time. We will definitely go again.
Lovely food, very reasonably priced, a huge seating area but can be very busy especially at weekends as they offer a delicious carvery!
You can order via the app here and it made the whole experience very smooth and easy. Once ordered and paid for, you go up to the carvery and show the order on your phone. The staff serves up your main and you self serve the rest. There were a lot of options for sides roast potatoes, mashed, carrots, sprouts, roast veg, etc.. There were also a lot of sauces and two gravies, including a vegetarian onion gravy. I got the potato and cheese pie, which was delicious. The restaurant itself was clean and laid back. There was plenty of parking and it was easy to get to. Good value for money, as we went here for lunch and were too full for dinner later! Vegetarian options: There were quite a few vegetarian and vegan options, both a la carte and in the carvery set meal. I got the potato and cheese pie and my friend got the all vegan veg pie. There was a vegetarian onion gravy with nice chunks of onion and plenty of veg options for sides. It was quite potato heavy three kinds I think, plus roast root veg, roast sweet potato, carrots, sprouts, stuffing, but sometimes that's what you want.
The chicken goujon bap and chips was banging, I’d absolutely go again. Highly recommend. We come here regularly and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Top stuff
Called in today with my friend for the tea and cake offer. We were given the tea tiny pot barely one cup and told our cake would be brought over to us 30 minutes later I asked where our cakes were and it seemed they had forgotten us. The cakes were huge but truly awful, all show and no flavour. I ate a mouthful and left the rest. On visiting the loo discovered it stinking! Absolutely gag inducing. Generally dirty with wet floor and loose tap. Definitely won’t be going back. Big thumbs down from us!
We went for my mum's birthday but unfortunately it was ruined by the awful customer service and waiting times. We ordered on the app and had to wait an hour for our drinks and when they brought them round they told us they were just on the side waiting and no member of staff bothered to bring them to us. The food was good however the halloumi fries were quite greasy. The staff didn't seem very helpful and we had to wait ages for our desserts because no one was preparing them until the assistant manager went to check. The drinks were also brought out in bottles and no glasses to pour them in. Don't think I will be going back again anytime soon.
Great carvery and great cakes!! Staff were friendly and helpful As a vegetarian, I love that I have the option of upgrading to a standard size plate for the price of a small when I don't want meat or meat substitute. Definitely recommend and will go back again.
Two star's from me is unfair to be honest, the reason is for me it just wasn't for me, but for thousands of people they love it, it was very busy the whole time we were there, the staff were brilliant and very friendly helpful and hard working. I went on a day they were only serving the carvery, so I will try them again when they have their usual menu back, like I said it's very popular and this is purely my own opinion. On another note the homemade cakes,,,,, Delicious.
Roast beef was inedible - I couldn't even get a knife through it. Roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy pretty good, vegetables mostly overcooked. Pricing reasonable and staff were doing their best, although they are pretty stretched on a Sunday, when we visited, as it was so busy. If you use the app to order a drink, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes for it to arrive. Atmosphere not great on a Sunday, with chavs playing noisy games on their mobile phones while their brats scream and run about the place.
