We came here for a team meal midweek and had pre-ordered our food. We were served drinks on arrival straight away by a friendly bar team and our food all arrived at our table a short time later, all hot, well cooked and at the same time there were 16 of us. The portions were large, especially the fish and chips and everyone enjoyed it. There was a good variety of food on the menu. Desserts were equally delicious.
We booked a table here for a Sunday roast and wow did it exceed our expectations! Absolutely perfect roast dinner, loved that you could order extra cauliflower cheese & roasties too! Will definitely be back again!
Stayed here with my son when he visited UWE open day in April, it's a great location very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable plenty of parking we had a nice meal in the restaurant & breakfast was arranged for us in the morning.Rooms: 5/5

Superb! Booked for 11 for my nephews 18th Birthday and I cannot praise enough. Without really any prompting other than mentioning on the booking they had set up a table and some balloons- lovely gesture. From start to finish the staff were polite, attentive and very friendly. Good came out all together and in good time.. can’t fault the value for money and was really nice. Highly recommend!

A budget stay in a great location to break a long journey. Basic rooms with a friendly pub. Didn't eat due to timescales, lovey outdoor seating area. And fabulous staff.Rooms: 3/5
Edit after response from hotel: My name was on your bookings as that was never the issue. I can even give you the name of two of your employees that were trying to solve the issue and the manager's name which was on the phone with them for at least 3 calls during the issue. But well done on being disorganized even to reply to a review. Goo luck. Previous review. Disorganised staff, very far from everything, all dusted in room. Floors creaking, could hear every movement from other rooms. Would not stay again.
A serene and tranquil accommodation option with competitive rates. Courteous and amiable staff members. Historical records indicate that the establishment dates back to the 17th century. Regrettably, my dining experience was marred by excessively salty food, resulting in a four-star rating instead of a higher one.
Visited for birthday meal which was fantastic! We all really enjoyed the food and the desserts were really yummy. Will definitely visit again.
