I didn't have a good experience ordering from Winstanley Bikes. The bike ordered said it would be shipped in 5>6 days which it still says on their website. It actually took 12 days to ship and took a other 5 days to arrive, 17 days in total. When it arrived the box was badly damaged. The bike looked okay, but once I'd put it together I noticed the frame was chipped. Rather than send the bike back as I need this bike to do the nursery run I asked if they could supply some paint to touch up the chipped. I thought this was very reasonable. I was told they couldn't get any paint and they suggested I use a colour mat her an order the paint myself. All in all very poor service from start to finish.
I ordered a bike online for my son and unfortunately they were sold out. I was told for the inconvenience I could choose any bike that they had in stock and they will try there best to get it within my budget. And they did. The customer service was exceptional and I’m not saying this because I got a good deal. It’s because every time I dealt with them. The customer service level remains at the very same standard to the very first visit.
After searching the web Winstanleys were the cheapest so I ordered new Rockshox forks. They weren’t in stock but with the suppliers and after reading negative reviews I thought I’d be waiting a long time. I received them TWO days later with free delivery. 100% impressed and would definitely use again. Plus I saved over £200.
Decent website showing accurate stock levels it seems. Competitive price. I ordered and it got delivered in good time, can't complain. I ordered a complete bike mtb and gears/brakes were setup well for me. Unfortunately during transit one of the stem bolts had fallen out and it took a while to find it in the big bike cardboard box. So make sure you check the security of all screws before riding first time as you should.
I've ordered numerous parts from Winstanleys for bike builds. Their prices are great, communication is clear and accurate, parts they don't have in the warehouse are quickly sourced and arrive sooner than expected. The customer service team is helpful and responsive. Order the wrong part by mistake? No problem, they'll help sort that out too. A good service all round!
This is the first time I have every bought a bike 'blind'. Previously I have visited the shop to see what I was getting. Unfortunately I recently bought a road bike from Giant, paying full retail price. They 'set it up' in front of me. When I got home one of the brakes didn't work properly. So a day off work, and another 100mile trip to get it fixed 'free of charge'... So I thought, why bother - seek out a reputable dealer who you can buy online and save yourself hopefully a few pounds. I did just that with Winstanley. The bike arrived today - perfect and everything working as it should do. On top of that, Paul, that chap I was dealing with over email, was super helpful and responsive. He also arranged a delivery day that worked around my commitments. Dave, one of the delivery chaps they use, was also great - very professional and arrived on the dot. I would have no hesitation of using these guys to buy a bike.
Great service at a most competitive price we could find. Ordered on a bank holiday Monday evening and bike arrived by Wednesday afternoon in good condition. Bike was easy to assemble, more instructions on adjusting breaks and gears could be helpful for fine tuning but we worked it all out. Daughter very happy with her birthday present.
Hands down , best customer service I've had in years! Ordered a rack for my bike and the stream of lengthy and very well detailed email respimces from Aaron have been pretty incredible. Completely went over and beyond and left me super Impressed. I live in London, but will use Winstanleys going forward, for anything that I need now. I have ordered through Winstanleys Bikes a couple of times and every transaction has gone smoothly with no issues. The website is easy to navigate and they always email me to say where my package is. One order was sent via 2 different carriers and I was kept well informed for the progression of dispatch and transit throughout.
Brilliant service! I called first to check the product was right for my bike - Joe checked everything out and got back to me quickly. The order came within 2 days and everything was perfect. Will definitely use Winstanley’s again and was pleased to be able to order from an independent retailer, thank you!
