Great station for tourists visiting Windsor Castle. A six minute train journey to slough railway station, train to slough are every twenty minutes. Not far from Heathrow airport for tourists around the world. Just half an hour away from London Paddington railway station
Windsor & Eton Central station is situated in the very centre of the town. It is inside a shopping hall with restaurants and pubs for food when you arrive at the station. The first thing you see before the platform is 2 ticket machines to purchase tickets if you have not got any before your journey. Then there is a ticket office which is mostly closed, so the ticket machines help you. Then there is the platform with a help point for information and a few benches if there is a long waiting time. The station is good and would reccomend as it is very good for a one platformed station! There is also a old steam train by the ticket machines and has a little description about it!
Really good station facilities with super good the train arrived on time although it was quite packed but I can deal with that also the station is Supergood if you are a tourist and want to see Windsor Castle since it's literally up the road from Windsor Castle
A beautiful place where the ancient meets the modern. You are in awe of the Windsor palace and enjoy the scenic view around. The decor for Christmas is superb.
Don’t forget to tap out - as you enter the train station, on right side - look for a gray machine with an orange disc!! Very nice train station with assorted cafes and restaurants, shops and department store, and gross, non functioning public toilets. We used rest rooms in Waitrose supermarket.
