Connecting station to Windsor and Eton serviced by both the Elizabeth Line and GWR. Make sure you know which one you're getting onto to get into Paddington.
There are some great outside spaces however the town centre is very bad with alot of closed shops and empty units as the centre is ment to be undergoing registration witch is yet to start
Good connections to Windsor & Eton Central and Paddington via the GWR but better to get off at Reading from Elizabeth line if you want to go far from London. You only really have Didcot Parkway as an option to go outbound. For the size of the station, this station doesn’t offer too much but the Elizabeth line upgrade was certainly needed but not enough for Slough to be a good station.nnStaff are helpful too. They said that the Elizabeth Line comes to the station more frequently than the GWR to Paddington/Didcot Parkway.
Dreadful, earlier on today my young 15 year old sister travelled back from school, brought a child’s ticket as she is 15 there was no issue at Langley station when she got to slough station she went to put her ticket through the barriers where it said “seek assistance” there was a crowd of 15-20 people waiting to get through as 3 of the barriers were broken, one of the colleagues grabbed my 15 year old sisters landyard very aggressively then proceeded to scream in her face as to why she brought a children’s ticket, children’s tickets are for under 16’s so my sister can use the ticket. He kept my sister there for 30 minutes also this is 4.30 in November and it gets dark because of this she missed her bus home and had a panic attack in front of these so called “colleagues” and they laughed at her. Also gave her a £80 fine. Disgusting I will not be using slough station ever again.
A superb little station and an absolute pleasure to use.
