While I adore Slough station and its many fast passing trains, this station gave me a headache. And I don’t know why, but there was a really high-pitched beeping running in my head for 40 mins before I caught a train.
Has that timeless look of a Station. Well kept and maintained well by the staff. Also read upon a memorial for a loved station dog.
For such a big station there are only 3 ticket machines, which rarely a case that all of them are working. And only 3 tickets windows.nnMost of the time queue is so long that you miss 2 to 3 trains before you can get hold of the ticket.nnTo exit from station there are very few barriers on the front of the station, which makes it very difficult to exit without stepping over other people.nnI hope they have some plans to look at the issues.
What a place...it has trains and benches, load of parking.nEven a shop selling curly sandwiches and coffee.nIsambard kingdom Brunel built this one....what an achievement in its day. The Steve Jobs of his age..
