Forgot these places ever existed and after being reacquainted with their menu was dumbfounded as to why they still do.. Bang average, overpriced burgers.. Don't waste your time.

This place is exactly the same as when I visited as a kid, and I still loved it when I returned today. Me and my boyfriend both got chicken burgers hich were lovely, and the fries were significantly better than any other fast food chain I've been too! I love the location and I think it's really fun being able to look down and see the arcade. Yes, the decor is outdated - but the food is good and the staff were very helpful. Overall very nice!

It's great there, don't worry about the people that talk about the staff, at the end of the day it's a fast-food place, not being critics at the staff that work there. Anyways, ordered a burger and a vanilla milkshake, either amazing or incredible would be the suitable word for how good the food and shake was. Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a burger appetite.

Me and my wife decided to pop in with our two year old daughter as I have fond memories of Wimpy as a kid, so was looking forward to a nice lunch with the family. When we arrived, we grabbed a table to find that half of the chairs had ketchup smeared all over them. After finding some clean chairs, my wife went up to order. There were only three or four young girls working and it was obvious that none of them wanted to be there. After taking our order, my wife was told they couldn't take a debit card because the machine was broken and could we pay by cash. After saying that we only had a card, the girl huffed at my wife in frustration and went off to get a working card machine without a word or a smile. We were then told to go and sit down and they would call our number when the food was ready in 5 minutes or so. We waited 35 minutes before we were called, which angered me as the girls behind the counter seemed more interested in helping themselves to food and drink and laughing about, rather than cooking and serving customers (we were not the only families left waiting). 35 minutes for two burgers and a couple of kids sausages just isn't on...especially when you have a hungry and impatient two year old to feed! Eventually our number was called, but no apology for the delay...in fact, not even a smile! The tray was thrown on the counter and left for me to get it! I thought it couldn't get any worse until I opened the food! Luckily my burger was nice, but my wife's was served in a soggy brown bun which was broken into three pieces. It was such a mess, she had a couple of bites and had to throw it away! For our daughter, we ordered two sausages with a side salad. Well, we ended up getting two burnt sausages and a box of plain lettuce, half of which was brown! When we went up and asked where the rest of the salad was, the girl behind the counter just said they run out of everything so only had lettuce left...again no apology; she just turned her back and went back to chatting with her friends behind the counter. I cannot believe how badly the service and cooking was. Seriously, the girls working should be sacked and replaced by people who know what good customer service means. We definitely won't be going back to this Wimpy ever again and I would advise others to stay clear too. £16 for two bags of cold chips, two burgers (one in a soaking wet and broken bun), two burnt child's sausages and a box of brown lettuce! To top it off, the sausages were so burnt that our daughter broke the plastic fork trying to pick it up and nearly choked on it...luckily we caught it in time and removed the sharp plastic from her mouth. I wish I had got some photos to post on here, as I am seriously in disbelief of how bad our experience was.
