After over a year I picked the same hotel based on my previous nice experience. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, good location, close to tram stops. Very clean and large single room with a bathroom.Rooms: 5/5
A nice location with a clean and tidy room that is simple but pleasant. The breakfast is small but sufficient for the price you pay. Overall, it's a good balance between cost and service.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed for 5 nights while at festival in Sheffield. Decent hotel, rooms are a bit small and basic with a lot of condensation on windows but very comfortable beds. It was perfectly located to where we needed to be and the town centre. Having secure parking was important to us so that's a big bonus. Cafe was not great. There was nobody there during Easter break so breakfast was so boring: toast, jam, mediocre yoghurt and filter coffee. When I finally had cooked breakfast it was swimming in grease. But the hotel was super cheap so can't really complain. No rats or insects and I've stayed in much more expensive places that had both.

Loved my stay here. Comfortable room good bed, hot shower. Friendly and efficient staff. Great location with lots of food options and things to do nearby. Ample parking. Breakfast bag delivered to your door daily. Great great value for money- will stay here again if I’m in Sheffield!
You won't find better value. Clean, quiet and modern rooms. Right by the city centre, convenient for university and trams. Free parking and nice little café. Lovely staff.
Great location and very reasonably priced. You have to park briefly in a car park not owned by the centre, go into reception to check in and obtain your electronic key, then drive around to the rear of the centre to use the key to access their car park. This could be avoided by giving guests a code to enter or quote via intercom at the car park barrier. My room was basic but very clean, although the mattress was so springy I felt like I was going to bounce off it every time I turned over. Walkability: Very near one of the main student haunts.
This place in Sheffield is a hidden gem, conveniently located near the city center, offering reasonable prices. The breakfast doesn't include the traditional English breakfast; instead, I received a package with porridge, a banana cereal bar, and juice. It might suit others, and the overall price is quite appealing.Rooms: 4/5
Checked in late was warmly welcomed by the man at reception. Was very friendly and made genuine conversation. plenty of tea & coffee bags. Nice enclosed shower . And spacious enough room for 1 person staying. Off-road free parking included. Was worth the price of £56 Walkability: Just one 2 minute walk from west street sheffield city centre the main road in town for restaurant cafe bars
We travel to Sheffield regularly and need to find our 'go to' place. There's so much to like about the Wilson Carlile, the staff, food and car parking are great. It's really good value for money. But we didn't sleep well, the rooms are small and basic which doesn't bother us but incredibly noisy. You can literally hear everything happening next door, overhead, in the corridor and outside the window. There's clearly no soundproofing at all. Then at 5.40 am the breakfast bags are delivered with more noise!! We're gutted because otherwise it's spot on. We'd like to say thank you to the lovely reception staff who went above and beyond to help with booking taxis to the hospital and giving directions. Food & drinks: The food in the café is delicious and very good value.
