It's a nice little shopping centre now there are far more shops , cafes etcnIt was getting grim last year with all the shop closures .nIt was quite busy when I went, which was nice to see.nIt was a shame that the alcoholics and drug users were shouting, swearing, and falling over. I know that there is town security, but I do think that a regular police presence is needed.
Very little signage in the main car park directing you to the main shopping area. I had to rely on the assistance of other shoppers for directions. The pedestrianised precinct is dull, very dated and has little to no visual appeal at all. I found the store I needed, got what I wanted and made a rapid exit. The payment machine for the car park was covered in sticky tape and the instructions consisted of vague diagrams and no option for cash payment, despite there being coin and note slots which have now been covered very messily with black tape. Any return visits will be only when absolutely necessary and even then, I’ll seek out alternatives first.
When the weather is bad it is not a good place to visit. No covered areas with seats so you can sit down and be dry. Only one set of toilets via a lift. Hope this is a reliable lift.⁉
Some good stores around, outdoor market all though the bloke hasn't got a clue, any 2 bowls for £2 at near end of the day, asked for 2 but apparently the 2 that I asked for was not included, forgive me, but ANY 2 bowls, means ANY 2 bowls or am I being thick???? I think not. Some places can be a little overpriced but that's the world we live in today.
Half the shops that have been there are closed so a lot of empty shops. Old stores like Wilko's that have been a reliable staple for the town are closing as well. The only old faithful store we have left is Boots. It's been there for years and it'd be really nice if we could keep it there.
