I still prefer how old gold street was , pre new lands but they try hard to make it welcoming , clean and tidy anyway
Decent little shopping centre, but only thing to mark it down on is the 20p charge on public toilets! I refuse to pay for toilets anyway, but the toilets were closed off despite the centre being open?! Apart from that a decent shopping centre.
The Newlands Centre is perhaps the only place in town that is a decent place. It has most of the best shops in, and has a good variety of them.nnThe only downside is that you have to pay to use the toilets.
Unfortunately I'm unable to give zero stars otherwise I would. Disappointing selection of shops; basically a carbon copy of many other municipal town centres. Only saved from extinction by TK Maxx and Boots. If you're thinking of visiting, go to Corby instead which is an example of how to regenerate and rejuvenate and town centre.
If you want coffee, a haircut and phone repair with maybe some charity shop browsing it's recommended. The best thing about the town center is the fruit trader in the center. Otherwise go Rushden or shop online!
