Has a little free library which is adorable. It could, however, be better patrolled as there are times when it doesn’t feel safe, as a young woman.
Really well kept, nice and tidy TFL appears to be doing a great job with it's stations. The trains do get crowded but this is a really fast route in to London. Live down the road and have to hike over to Queens Park Tube, so this was really nice being out in the daylight, on the station, then on the train for a good distance. I do agree with other comments it was quite crowded during the daytime and would guess it is really awful during peak times, but I thought the signage was actually quite clear and informative.
I change my 3 stars review quite ok, nothing special to 5 stars review, as there is a new guy working there and he makes my mornings better!!! He's horsing around with the speaker and just enjoys his work! 5/5 experience, I LOVE IT!
I live here. It's got its rough edges, a few rough people but, hey, it's a friendly place and I never want to move.
The platforms look exceptionally beautiful with all the well cared for plants
Clean, compact, user-friendly station with pleasant food options and a flower shop, conveniently located on the high road. Lovely view over the railway bridge, and classic art deco station exterior. <3
This station is worth a visit even if you haven’t been to Brent before. I live nearby so I pass through the station every day. Housed in a good-sized Marble-facade building, this station has been listed as a Grade II structure owing to the preservation of original platform buildings and rare green tiles in the ticket hall. If I were scouting for a pre WW2 train station in suburban London, this would be my choice. It’s not just the buildings they give the station a special character. In the ticket hall just before exiting the tube, there is a library against the right-hand wall. The public are free to take and contribute books in the volume of material that passes through the small space is really phenomenal. It is organised by the Cricklewood library and I will post a link as soon as I can from this review. Not only can you browse the book collection; you can take a break from the noise and pollution in Greater London by enjoying the gardens planted on each side of the railway. There are signs requesting volunteers to water the plants in the growing season.
Seems like a nice friendly station. They have their own little community library in the ticket hall.
Nice station on the Jubilee Line that can take you to central London Bond Street in about 20 minutes. They are quick to update the board when there are any delays on other lines. Trains come quickly every few minutes. Look out for their daily inspirational quotes on the white boards too!
Ethna, the nurse was great, kind and gentle!
