A superb aviation museum. Not huge, but they only ask for donations. If in the area its a must visit, to see the history of Aviation on the Isle of Wight.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Hidden gem filled with some of the aviation histories of the Isle of Wight. Most relate to the 2nd World War. Volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Only negative is finding the hanger after parking as the signs pointed all over the place.
Lovely little aviation museum but had to let hubby go round on his own as dogs not allowed. I am constantly checking if places are dog friendly before visiting and thought I had but obviously mistaken.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Crammed with history, knowledgeable and very friendly volunteers running the place. Really good! Well worth it. A great gem to discover!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Small but informative aviation museum run by enthusiasts. Free parking next to the airfield. Free entry donations appreciated. Worth visiting on a sunny afternoon picnic.
Great place to visit toilets at the airport are owned by the owner portable loo not good. After all the years the airport has been there you would think they would build loos. Female. And male separate.Visited onPublic holiday
Run by volunteers, many from aircraft industries and HM armed forces, do really informative. History of flight on the IOW all in one hanger. Plenty for nippers to do with flight simulators and quizzes etc. Also don't forget to check into the Spitfire BBQ cafe after your visit. Donations requested being a registered charity, also always looking for volunteers!
A unique museum marking the age of aviation for the island and the special people who challenged their time. Well worth a visit!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Husbands choice of activity. I was a reluctant hanger on. But I actually really enjoyed it. The museum is jam packed full of history. I really liked the fact it was personal stories and that all the volunteers really knew there stuff . Would highly recommend this placeVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
