Today I was pretty shocked when I went to exchange some paint, and it was just out of the return 30 day period. I use this wickes every other week and the manager Ash wouldn’t even consider letting me return it. I know they have policies but there was no care that they were going to potentially loose a load of custom over some paint that could have gone straight back on the shelf and sold at full price.I will be avoiding this branch from now on.
We were very satisfied with the quality/price here at Wickes. Always lovely customer service and helpful staff. We were expected queues as is a very reliable store. However, there was not a waiting line, and the lady at the till extremely quick and serviable. Large car park and lots of trolleys around.nDefinitely recommend this store
The WORST click and collect service in the world. Place my order, received a text to say it's ready to collect. Got to the store, no dedicated click and collect counter, was told to join the long main queue ate the tills. Was finally dealt with, to be told that order had been cancelled - Not by me. Then had to wait around 20 minutes for the product I'd ordered to be pulled from the racking. 10 minutes later I thought I'd have a walk round to find out what was going on, found the forklift driver and another staff member having a good old chat, having forgotten I was waiting. Then told I'd have to pay again because my original order had been refunded! An absolute joke.
Its ok in the sense that it has a good stock of stuff that you would expect to find at a builders merchant. Unfortunately they have the oppressive site drone cameras at the front door and just inside the door. These typs of devices are used on sites as a deterrent to people entering the site when they shouldn't be. If they really feel they need them for when the shop is closed, then remove them when the shop is open. The other issue is that the staff do not know the products they sell or basic building material knowledge or desire to really help. Other than that its usually clean and well stocked.
not worth one star but wont let me post till i clicked on it .myself and my 77yr old mum who's also blind went in to buy a shed and paid also for construction, £1400 in total wasn't told/aware they use an outside company for sheds , the shed arrived and we let them know it was delivered they asked for photos of area it was being placed bottom of garden on slabs they then the shed company refused to erect it saying it needed a base the shed has its own flooring which the shop did not inform us , my mum then had to employ different people to come erect and the shed was dishevelled , the door doesn't line up, there is bowing and open gaps in the sides easy accessible for rodents etc, and other defects .my daughter got in touch with Wickes about this and long story short after nearly 2 months we still haven't got her money back the 4 hundred from forest who supplied the shed and were supposed to build it and now Wickes are saying as shes not got online banking and shes used my daughters email again told them shes 77 and BLIND they cant refund the money . after many phone calls and excuses thieve offered her a voucher in store which at present there's nothing else she needs. so if your buying anything from Wickes please bear in mind if its faulty you may not get any money back or the excuses via phone calls,
