First time using their Click & Collect system and have used the same thing at many other stores but for my first experience I have to say that B&Q Northamptons system is broken. In the past I have gone online bought items I needed and within an hour got a text to go pick up but not with B&Q in Northampton. I had to wait almost a week and would have been faster using Amazon.nB&Q came across to me like that is normal but is not how click & collect works in other stores.
Ordered a bath seal to collect when I got there it was damaged. They had no more in stock even though their system was showing 14 in stock. The member of staff was very polite but had no clue as to when they would have more.Laughable really they have all this amazing tech for keeping stock checks with hand held scanning devices etc and it does not work. A wasted journey.
This store used to be a lot bigger.nIt's now cut its premises in half, and another business is in the second half.nThe store has a trade collection point.nIt also still has an outdoor area, plenty of wood, diy items, plants, and indoor homeware.nThere are self-serve tills as well as personal operation tills.nIt is still a pleasure to visit with moderate selection, but not anywhere as good as it used to be.
A very friendly and welcoming shop for anyone who wants to do a little DIY, as well as for builders. Enjoy your shopping. I bought some beautiful flower seedlings today. I recommend it.
We bought our kitchen from here and now it's time for the utility room. Of course we found the right person named Harvey who created exactly what we wanted with so much professionalism. He gave us advice and ideas offering us everything at a very good price. Created, paid and we can't wait to receive the order and install everything. I highly recommend this shop and go talk to Harvey, who will help you create everything you want.
