I visited on the 9th May and was helped to find what I needed by Matt who was truly excellent!nI had a difficult mission to find something that seemed to be impossible but Matt knew the store and products really well and found the perfect solution - two 50mm thick insulation panels.nI am super grateful for the great service I received and that I had just what I needed and within budget.nPlease pass on my thanks to Matt and the Northampton Store Team!
I have spent nearly £45,000 on a new kitchen and three bathrooms and was disappointed with a return of a shower tray item and was short changed with a refund of £116.00. The problem was the guy named Alex that works in the kitchen section, he was dealing with the query, kept on lying and changing his words. He promised me the refund would be returned. He was deleting comments from the computer system so he wouldn’t get the sack. He is always miserable and doesn’t have any customer service skills. Unbelievable and shocking service.
Has a great selection of everything. Prices quite high, you can find everything cheaper elsewhere. Not always has stock in. I've been looking for plaster, so instead of board plaster I had to buy multi purpose plaster. It's fine, but for such a big shop you expect better.
It’s a big store with lots of mediocre goods. Rare you don’t have to queue. Even if the place is empty you’ll have to wait because the robo-tills are often broken. Lots of staff, but usually only one person on the tills. Your mum shops there, but only because she doesn’t know any better. But now you do, and as you like quality gear and your time is valuable, you’re going to buy your paint from a decorating centre, and are opening a Screwfix account.
Sold me a sub-par product that is not fit for purpose and would not take it back. The representative, Patrick, was adamant that he is the expert of the matter and will not take the issue I faced, including several others from what I now see in the online reviews, in to consideration. His word was final, and I had no option but to the useless piece of junk home. Have always had issues with B&Q brand quality, but first time, a very bad experience at this store. Was surprised as it wasn't just the one guy.
