So the time has come my husband asked if I would make the trip to start looking at new kitchens “we’re off to Wickes” he said. I wasn’t looking forward to it as we having opposing taste and opinions on the design front. So we packed our grandson and all that entails at 20 months and ventured out. Do you know it was great. With said grandson in tow we could park in designated area close to the shop(massive car park-free for first 1.5hours) inside it’s rather sparse but full!!! I quickly learned this isn’t a general DIY store, there’s no frills and household bits and bobs, it’s honest to goodness straight to the point what it says on the tin, all you need for work at home or trade. They had about 12 kitchens displayed (very nice) in addition they had worktop displays and doors from each kitchen style in different colours,great. Searching out tiles for the kitchen floor I found a lovely large choice of colour, texture and effects. The same with wall tiles and other options available. Distracted my husband found the new sitting room flooring at a great price, solid oak, lovely,we even chose a bathroom. This is all great headway as we haven’t come to any decisions in two years regarding this as we opposed one another. Today’s feast gave us options we loved!!!

I bought 4 louvre doors in November , only 3 were delivered. The phone N, given on my delivery paper didn't work. In Maidstone Wicks store, Damien, who called himself a manager, Explained to me that I was sold a door that they didn't have on the premises And gave to me his word that I will have the door delivered the next day. I took another day off, booked a carpenter in-the door wasn't delivered, The phone didn't work. But I'm pleased to say that the next day I talked in the store to Brenda, Who acted not like a comic book character but a real human being. Everything she promised , she did. She deserves to be the manager, she is worth it. Larissa Beeney

Item delivered damaged. Called for replacement to be brought out and damaged goods collected. Was told Tuesday delivery. Today is Tuesday. No word from branch re:delivery so I phoned first thing. Rang for 6 mins before answered. Woman said she'd speak to "delivery hub" and ring me back. Surprisingly no such call came. I phoned again at 8.08am. Woman said they were loading the lorry but "doubted my delivery would be out today". What kind of customer service is that??!! I don't want "doubts" or someone making stuff up, I want an idea of morning or afternoon delivery TODAY as promised. I am phoning back again right now and its been 4.45 min no answer so far...... Finally got through and asked for Manager, and I am astonished to say I was put through to someone who introduced themselves as "Mike" who, when asked, confirmed they are the manager. Abrupt, no apology, no please or thank you - "I haven't spoken to you before" and "I'll find out and ring you back" . Now we wait........... 9.49am This Mike chap just phoned to say it'll be here within the next half an hour!!!!! Makes me think that they're just quickly putting it on a van to bring out now - I live literally 5 mins from the store. If I hadn't phoned and yes, made a fuss, I am almost 100% certain I wouldn't have had a delivery today. SORT YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICES OUT, YOUR STAFF ARE COMPLETELY MORONIC. Answer the phone promptly too but make sure its by someone who has a brain cell...... I'll let you know if and when the delivery actually does arrive. 10.51am Well delivery has arrived didn't take half an hour but an hour so bearing in mind how useless this branch are cant complain about that!
