Wickes is my preferred DIY store. Prices are reasonable, quality is up there with the best, availability is not an issue either. The Oldham store is convenient, never too busy and the staff are helpful too. Parking is good and opening times are long. Offers are really good here.
Went with an appointment didn't even have time for us or bother with us I think his name is Steve or Stephen. Rubbish then Julia or someone tried helping us but just really felt she wanted to get rid of us! Rubbish!
Just saw a couple steal two 5L pots of paint, when staff was alerted that they are walking out with paint he just smiled at me. Guess it’s easier for staff to stick it to the cooperate.
Julie in kitchens is amazing. Her experience and attention to details is second to none. True customer service. New kitchen showroom is amazing

I have edited my original review. The showroom staff were excellent but sadly after the kitchen had been fitted, things went badly wrong and it took Wickes over 3 years to put them right. Even after a threat of court action they were slow to replace the damaged parts. I found it almost impossible to contact the appropriate people and could not recommend them.
Shocking system for customer orders. - first website won't take 3 different payment cards which means I missed out on next day delivery. - tried placing order through customer services; advised delivery now in 2 day's time. Put the order through, but advised delivery not available now until the weekend for extra £5. - reluctantly agreed, only to then be told there are no delivery slots at all!! All while £1000 has been pre-authorised from my bank account which I will now not have access to for up to 10 working days. Which means I can't even order from a different provider as I don't have sufficient funds. Missed opportunity to work on project through Bank Holiday weekend, and waste of money on hire tools which of course Wickes won't reimburse. Absolutely shocking.

Absolutely wonderful customer service. After going to B&Q and not getting much help at all; one member of staff answered our question very quickly and abruptly as he was passing by, by advising us to go the kitchen department. Once there, the young girl did not even bother to leave her seat. Only directed us to a specific isle. We were looking for only a singular piece of kick board for my daughters kitchen , we gave up and went to Wickes. Best decision ever! We had the very good fortune to encounter 'Rob'. He was busy restocking shelves. However, he single handedly restored our faith in excellent, old fashioned, customer service. He took the time to help us and we cannot thank him enough. Whilst we could not resolve the issue, we did manage to find a very workable solution. Next time we need any supplies, we will not even bother in wasting our time by going elsewhere first, Wickes have proved that they really care about their customers. Thank you so much to Rob. He really made a difference.
Staff was great until I needed help meaning when I was buying 4 bags of stones for the garden and I had to pull and sort them all myself hurting my back in the process. Next time I will go B&Q they cost more but there always happy to help, I guess you get what you pay for.
