Ordered insulation boards for quick delivery which was excellent, however all the boards were damaged and broken into lots of pieces.nnWhen I refused to accept delivery, the driver said I couldn't and ran off!nnCustomer support have been slow to respond and not helpful in resolving the issue so I'm having to request a refund via my credit card.nnWhat should have been an easy resolution > refuse delivery = get refund > now I'm stuck with damaged goods and no sign of a resolution.nnThis is the only retailer I've ever used that said I couldn't decline a damaged delivery, so be aware before you order from Wickes they could deliver you frustration.
It’s a convenient spot for picking up most DIY essentials, and generally good value especially if you buy in larger quantities as the unit price tends to work out cheaper. It’s always worth doing a quick comparison with B&Q to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Since Homebase closed, this feels like the only similar option nearby.nnThe location in central Hove makes it easy to get to, and parking is usually straightforward. One bit of advice though: check stock online before you travel. I once went in specifically for bamboo canes, only to find out they’ve never actually stocked them. Could’ve saved myself the trip!
It's a hardware store, nothing much to write home about...nnThey usually have a good variety of items in stock, prices aren't the cheapest for most items, but they're usually more sensible than B&Q.nnThis branch also has a showroom upstairs for kitchen/bathroom designs and units, materials etc....nnThis branch is always clean and tidy, with great placement design so it's always easy to find what you're after quite quickly.
Outstanding service from the staff member with an orange hi viz Jim I believe his name is. Such a kind man assisting me with buying a 14L trunk and helping me tie some rope that I brought onto it to make it easier for me to pull. I asked for advice on what’s best to make a handle and he immediately found the rope for me. He was patient while I was packing my plants and was an absolute legend. Need more people like him in the world absolutely made my day. Thank you Jim
