Outstanding service from the staff member with an orange hi viz Jim I believe his name is. Such a kind man assisting me with buying a 14L trunk and helping me tie some rope that I brought onto it to make it easier for me to pull. I asked for advice on what’s best to make a handle and he immediately found the rope for me. He was patient while I was packing my plants and was an absolute legend. Need more people like him in the world absolutely made my day. Thank you Jim
Jim is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Helping to carry things to our car and assisting us during our whole time in the shop. Never left a store feeling so well equipped as I did. Thank you so much
Wickes in Brighton is known for its extensive variety of products, offering fair prices across a wide range of home improvement needs. The staff are hardworking and dedicated, striving to assist customers effectively. However, there are notable issues when it comes to kitchen design and toilet planning services. The new designs are often not updated in their system, resulting in significant delays or even failures to initiate projects. This is an area that needs improvement to enhance customer satisfaction. Despite this, the store remains a reliable option for general home improvement supplies. Pros: - Extensive variety of products - Fair pricing - Hardworking staff Cons: - Delays in kitchen design and toilet planning services - System issues with new designs Areas for Improvement: - Updating the system for new kitchen and toilet designs to streamline project initiation.
There is a good variety of products and availability instore and the customer service is usually good, however when my partner went into store today to pick up thingsfor our renovation he could hear them talking about himself on the radio and felt intimidated the entire time he was in the shop. This might have been a one off, but no customer should be made to feel intimidated for trying to find products to shop. Please improve your customer service.
Awful company to get a bathroom installation from. Installation date was 4 months later than stated by designer when placing the order. Faulty part was sent which delayed the job by 6 days. 15 days in now and we still have no bath/shower or fully working toilet. See photo for 15 days of progress. All you get is apologies and no actions or urgency shown. Maybe when the bathroom is done we will love it, but unfortunately the experience so far has been awful.
Beware Wickes are scammers they refuse returns by all means so if you think you can return something do not be fooled. I have receipt and customer was not happy with item but they refused so money out of my pocket. Well done Wickes to get rid of builder from your shop!
Generally really good. Occasionally there’s a bit of a wait, but generally pretty good.
Poor service. Staff Need training. Went to Brighton store today to pick up some Jablite insulation after having checked on line showing 11 in stock. I Only needed one. I asked an assistant about it and he didn't seem that bothered that it wasn't there and said not a lot he could do and walked away. I was so disgusted with his attitude I left the store even though I was also going to purchase £50 worth of goods in my trolley which I would have purchased had he cared a bit more. So Wickes lost a sale there. This is not the first time stock issues gave arisen with this branch.
Good location, plenty of parking space, helpful staff
I regularly shop at Wickes and found them to be pretty decent overall however my experience has been ruined by their draconian parking regulations. I popped in a couple of weeks ago to pick up some decorating equipment. Got home and realised I needed a few more items so returned straight away to purchase these. I received an £85 fine from their parking management company for returning to the store car park within an hour. It’s a disgraceful way to treat customers. I had to fight it. Wickes don’t give out store receipts automatically, only if you ask for one. I was able to prove being a customer only by going through bank statements and showing evidence of this. Overall a load of hassle and stress. As a long term customer I’ll take my business elsewhere in future.
