Today my friends and I made a last minute reservation as it was my 60th birthday. They were great, the afternoon tea was delicious and plentiful and they even gave me a gift of a boxed glass and a special happy birthday dessert with a candle Thank you for a lovely afternoon. C
Such a lovely restaurant. The food was stunning. Service and staff was so helpful and amazing.
Hadn't visited for a couple of years but glad we went back. Took my Mum out for lunch. Booked online and asked for a table on the ground floor...all sorted ok. Pretty standard pub grub menu. Food was good and nicely presented - Reasonably priced for what it was. Our server was friendly and well organised. Will return again.
My first time In this pub and the bar staff was exceptional. Lisa, Ben and Jill was so accommodating when I was unsure on what to order for food and recommended what they thought best. The food was delicious Elsa the manager was so kind and welcomed us with a smile. I will 100% return.
Nice food. Very good service from friendly helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. Large menu and enough for vegans/vegetarians for mains. Would recommend. Wasn't easiest to book online wouldn't work, couldn't initially get through on phone. & Has steps for entrance.
Five adults and two children visited last Sunday, all adults chose the Sunday roast and both my son in law and I had three meats do an extra £4.00 each, we ordered cauliflower cheese as well. Overall we all had a lovely tasty meal with plenty of everything, our waitress was very good and attentive and checked we were ok and supplied extra pigs in blankets for Emily who is four. We all had a good time.
Traditional pub food. Nothing overly nice everything was just acceptable. Service below expectations as we needed to remind the waitress couple of times. Quite a lot of the dessert menu was not available, I don't know if this is common but we found it disappointing. Access to the restaurant area, and from the restaurant area to the wcs was up and down stairs. No wheat beers available.
If you want a nice, warm welcome, don't come here, I am afraid. Arrived on Christmas Eve, sat on one of the two unreserved tables with no reserved sign like the others. Got shouted at across the bar by some bloke sat at a table, quite confrontational, no idea who but assume he worked there, did not introduce himself, saying 'you can't sit there, it is reserved'. Hopefully politely, I did mention that there was no reserved sign, as there were for the other tables, only for him to call out 'trust me, it is' and then turned his back. Wish I had just walked back out frankly, we had probably been in the place about 30 seconds maximum by this point. Unpleasant, no manners, rude, unfortunately. By time we left an hour and a half later no one was still sitting at the table. Perhaps it was because I am not a regular although we do live in the village. Would recommend going elsewhere. And we certainly won't be going back. Not if you paid me.
Never had a bad meal ! Not your average pub food , but can get that if you want it . A couple of pounds dearer than the average and rightly so . A small snug bar if you just want a drink but it's mainly geared as an eaterie. Staff are really well trained for a welcome change so if you ask about the food they can actually tell you in detail if necessary about it . Well worth a visit
Had a family Christmas meal in here. Friendly Welcoming Staff and the food was great for the price. Would definitely Recommend
