Went to the store to get an umbrella for our barbecue outside for our garden! It took us an hours drive to get there but it was well worth it! Store was very big with two floors with lots of displays, we met a nice young girl called Jessica who was very helpful with our questions. She helped us placed an order for a delivery and it was no hassle! Would come here again!
On visiting the whitestores showroom the furniture displayed looks really good, huge queue to order, with everyone ordering big sets. We ordered our 8 seater furniture set, parasol, parasol base and dining set cover in April total price £3400. We were originally told that our delivery date was 25th July, needed to be manufactured in their EU workshop and then would be delivered. We were incredibly patient as the date was CONTINUOUSLY delayed, citing COVID, Surez canal delay. We paid our full balance the first week in September and expected to receive this within 10 days as per their terms and conditions. Within 7 days I hadn’t heard anything from the couriers despite being notified via email of dispatch of all the items, being sent from different couriers. After constantly chasing whitestores for a delivery date, I was told different things, I took 2 consecutive Fridays off work, 3 and 4 weeks after the payment was taken, for the couriers to not deliver, I chased the courier directly to be told they hadn’t even received the item from their warehouse, despite being notified of despatch AND paying the full balance. The courier randomly arrived on a Monday with no prior notice, luckily we were at home when they came! Or not so luckily as the furniture which is worth £2600 had been stacked to 9 ft on a single pallet, the delivery driver could barley even move it! And when we opened all the boxes, EVERYTHING is damaged, glass top damaged, table legs through the table top, every single chair frame and legs wonky, just incredibly disappointed, frustrated and upset, especially after waiting so long after paying out so much money. We then arranged a return, being told they had a back log of collections, not surprising if everyone has had the same experience as us!! this return has continued with our awful experience, the first time they didn’t arrive, I rang and found out the details of the logistics company directly, whitestores had not informed them that the items were now not palleted meaning their pick up was not appropriate as it required a 2 men hand balled collection, we then had it arranged with an alternative company, they collected our items 4 weeks after delivery! No refund yet and have chased and was told that they don’t consider the items to be returned as they are in a warehouse depo of the delivery company and they haven’t received them, and just them receiving the items back will take at least 3 weeks for even that to happen, they then have to process this. 2 items we have never even received so don’t understand why this part of the order has not been refunded! Just constant excuses, no replies to emails, manager unwilling to speak to us. Just a very very poor experience personally in every aspect of dealing with whitestores and will now be going through a consumer ombudsman to try get our refund.
Purchases L shaped sofa with table and parasol at a reasonable price. Staff in store were nice and reasonable on every dealing with them. Recent had some rain and as sofa is close to tiled room though it would be safe to bring in pillows to get them out of rain. Pillows were only slightly wet however when putting them back on sofa we noticed the tiled floor was badly stained. Have clean multiple time to no improvement. Have been told flame retardant Chem can go white on pillow yet I would not expect this to stain a tiled floor. Main office has been of no help and haven’t even offered to have tiled cleaned which should be least on offer.
Last year I bought 6 LED lit Christmas Reindeer from the Essex branch of White Stores. I have just come to reuse them and I have mislaid 5 of the plugs. ‍ I rang the shop to see if they could replace the plugs and they can. I am very, very pleasantly surprised. I was assisted by Jordan who was absolutely incredibly patient and helpful. Thank you very much Jordan. Also these reindeer have been stored outside and uncovered but look like new. Full marks for product quality and customer service.
Such a lovely show room. Customer service was great & very accommodating with our purchases delivery, when we was behind on lead times on our garden build. Craig is so knowledgable & was willing & happy to answer all our questions that we had to ask. I would not hesitate coming back to this store & purchasing goods again. They helped towards our garden build being stress free. Thank you Craig & White Stores Team. Much appreciated!
Ordered garden furniture in February and took delivery at the end of July. Although not ideal, due to the pandemic supply issues were an issue so I needed to wait. Once the furniture arrived I was really happy with the quality and how little assembly was required if any. Just need the summer to continue so that we can use the furniture.
Online Purchase I would give this a no star if i could. Awful customer service team that did not attempt to resolve my issue. I spent weeks going back and fourth in our emails. I purchased a tree, 10 days later they email to say "sorry tree you purchased was out of stock" after going back and fourth between emails the guy that was dealing with my case decided to process the refund without my approval?! I was looking for a solution, do they think a quick refund would have made a happy customer? Not that they ruin my daughter's first Christmas 2023, they did not even attempt to compensate despite wasting my time. I asked them to honour the tree the same price for when i purchase this in the coming November 2023 it will be full price by then they said if i wanted the discount i would need to wait for the time i purchased the tree. AWFUL customer service. The outcome - It only took them 10 days to realise the tree was OOS - No tree for me to put up in mid November 2023, ruined my daughters 1st Christmas - No compensation - They gave me the full refund that i can't access - Didn't honour their customer the tree at the price they paid for - Wasted my time You decide if this is a good company to shop at :
Nice garden dining set. Arrived with no damage etc and as described BUT the delivery company Palletforce Alliance are a disaster. No telephone contact before delivery to ensure we were going to be home. A single email two hours before it was delivered with no telephone contact number or opportunity to rearrange. Called White Stores who confirmed they would get the delivery rearranged then it turned up anyway. This was not a small delivery 6 chairs, cushions and a 5’ glass topped rattan table. It needed some thought as to where to put it and the driver wanted help unloading. Not good enough and in this day and age not difficult to do better.
Poor Customer care, whilst the sofa I bought off them is perfect quality and can't complain, the cover I purchased is very misleading, on the photo it states it offers full protection against rain, snow and frost...this could not be further from the truth... Now I will hold my hands up and admit that it says in the small print to take your cushions indoors before putting the cover on, I didn't see this at the time of buying, however, I went to check after winter and my cushions were covered in black mold and everything was drenched, so the cover isn't as rain, snow or frost proof as it claims. When I went to remove one of the cushion covers to wash them it ripped down the side with very little input from me, the staff have not been helpful at all. I've admitted my short comings for not reading the small print on the cover and going off what it says in big bold letters instead, I think the staff should accept some of the fault with this as it is misleading and the after care is shocking.
Concerning Quality and Poor Customer Care I purchased an aluminium garden furniture set from White stores. Despite it being advertised as having a high quality powder coating by Akzo Nobel, after the two two months Feb & March under the furniture cover that White Stores sold for the set, the paint rubbed off in the corners from the cover moving in the wind. I raised this with White Stores but their Customer Service was shockingly bad stating it was wear and tear and the accusing me of lying and that I had actually knocked and damaged the furniture. I tried got in touch with Akzo Nobel in the UK to get their opinion. They explained that this doesn’t seem right and their product shouldn’t behave this way. However they have no record of their product being used by White Stores or Nova Outdoor Living their manufacturing arm. When I questioned this with White Stores it turns out this won’t be the case as the products are manufactured in China. White Stores have not offered any evidence that they actually use a Akzo Nobel product and, without the specific details of their Chinese manufacturer and applicator Which White Stires have not provided, Akzo Nobel cannot verify they they’re product is actually being used. After 6 months of complaints, White Stores have now offered to repeat the corners where the paint has rubbed off. However I am not confident this ‘repair’ will be satisfactory or that I’ve actually received what was advertised in term so if the powder coating quality. However White Stores seem to ti the bare minimum ti comply with Consumer Law and leave their customers with nowhere to go. Overall, disappointed with the product quality, feel mislead by their advertised specs, and experienced very poor after sale customer care.
