Recommend by friends for a Fish and chip meal and we were not disappointed. £6 95p Haddock or scampi. Loved it ++ My wife and I have now eaten here 5 times and the quality and service are 100% and the price. The best Haddock a chips anywhere. loved it ++Still excellent value.

Popped in for a drink and received a warm welcome and had little chat. Pub of all, nice family garden, with different seating. Big screen for sport on main bar and nice seating for eating. Nicely decorated. Lovely tasting Doombar and wine served in a nice glass. Kid-friendliness: Children welcome upto 9pm
Superb fish n chips and incredible value at £6.95. Lovely and efficient staff. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you have a good appetite as portions are large. Equally lovely juicy beef burger, cooked to perfection with super chips too. Amazing value at £10.Food: 5/5
Food and drink was OK. But sadly not a family friendly pub. Only came because it looked like the only pub in the area with a kids playground but that’s now gone. Only two high chairs, one of which was broken. And baby change only in the ladies toilets which is very old fashioned. Kid-friendliness: Not a family pub
We had a great time today at The White Lion in Bengeo for St Patrick's day. Great music and of course delicious Guinness. Lovely local crowd were really welcoming, we will definitely be coming back Service: 5/5

Homely pub. We were told to sit where we liked and the service came with a lovely smile. Rather cold in the dining area and the pub should have utilised the fireplace to warm the place up rather than just have fairy lights in it. My wife ordered ham off the bone, chips and egg and I ordered a crispy chicken burger. To be honest neither were that great although cooked well and presentation was good the chicken burger was tasteless and the wife's ham looked like gammon out of a tin which was slimy and again tasteless. Everything else was great.

Never been here before but we will come back, popped in for a drink and walked through to the beer garden, what a lovely space! Really big area so lots of space, they have a tent like structure across the middle so a little cover if you need it. Lots of tables and chairs, some chairs have backs as well so not all picnic benches. They had live music the night we went and it was an amazing atmosphere, people up dancing, really lovely It was Friday Fizz and Gin night so a gin and tonic was on offer I think £5... whole thing was fab
