Meeting in the Historic Lombard House which is located right on the River Lee, opposite the Barge Public House, next to the newly refurbished Hertford Museum the Hertford Club was established over 100 years ago in 1878 - The Hertford Club is the only Private Members Club in Hertford.
Lombard House in Bull Plain is one of the most interesting and ancient structures in Hertford. It is a Grade II listed building and it is believed that Lombard House was originally a fifteenth century hall house which was extended in the early seventeenth century, renovated in the eighteenth century and later renovated in the 1980's after a fire.
New Members are always welcome.
Special events including live jazz lunches are held throughout the year with dining in the restaurant and bar. Weddings, birthdays and christening buffets together with other occasions can take place in the function rooms.
