This is some place I am able to enjoy some good ol' ales with an attitude.
Old school historic pub built in 1550. Located down a narrow alley, this is an oak paneled, dark, cozy pub. Limited beer selection but the gins were spot on.
It's one of my favorite pubs in town. It would be 5 stars except the male bar staff treat the customers like an inconvenience, really ignorant and beligerent. Heaven forbid if you forget to use the hand sanitiser evening, Saturday 12th, September.
Lovely pub. Efficient bar staff. Always visit this place when I'm in town.
Such a historic pub, lots of character and nice staff, only issue is not much attention paid to social distancing by older patrons that put other people on edge.
Liked the place with the history and not been modernised will definitely be going back...only thing was a bit to dark going upstairs to a shared toilet which could do with freshing up a bit, apart from that loved it.
Great atmosphere, historical setting, good selection of beers and friendly service
Absolutely fantastic pub with brilliant scenery and vibes
A quaint old historical place through a small ally.
