A must visit in Bermondsey area, the gallery showcasing the works of contemporary artists. Gallery is a big space with different rooms to display different artworks. A good shop full varied selection of artistic books. Free admission, worth a visit.
Going to the White Cube has been one of my favourite slow Sunday activity since I moved to London. Get to London Bridge, walk towards the White Cube and you’ll find a little street full of brunch places, wine bars and cosy French restaurants. The space is amazing, rotating with interesting residencies every few months. Keep an eye on what’s coming up next!
Always some good exhibitions at the White Cube, went to see Al Held. Great open space for exhibitions. Very kind to open it to the public and free to enter. Nice bookshop with some prints and catalogues for sale. Nearest tube Station- London Bridge May be a bit tricky for car parking.
A wonderful gallery in Bermondsey! Free and easy to navigate. I enjoyed the Tracey Emin exhibition and can't wait to come back for more shows!
Currently a fantastic artist on display, the rooms are epic, they have so much room to float around the art in a clean, environmentally controlled environment. Greeted by an enthusiastic, polite and welcoming team providing information on the venue and artist. This was as free, it's worthy the effort to attend.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Excellent large exhibition space with contemporary artists usually being featured. The current Al Held showing is good and with it not being particularly busy when I visited you got to see a great show in a great setting.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
I came here for the first time yesterday to check out Al Held’s ‘About Space’ exhibition and was floored not only by the art on display but the space itself. As soon as you enter White Cube, there is a serenity that hits you that allows you to fully relax and become immersed in whatever exhibition you’ve come to enjoy. Each room is very big and as the name suggests, resembles a white cube which allows for the art to be the centrepiece from whichever direction/angle you look at it. Not to mention, entry here is FREE which is amazing. The ‘About Space’ exhibition itself was unbelievable. A true feast for the senses, the abstract expressionist style was on full display as the deeper you went into the space, the more shapes, textures and colours you were exposed to. Anyone who appreciates art would love Al Held’s work; particularly those that are passionate about finely crafted handmade paintings that evoke an array of emotions and feelings. I look forward to returning to White Cube for the next exhibition and beyond!
Great find in Bermondsey. Set near a busy street of cafes and shops. Stunning artworks and a good shop full of a large selection of artistic books.
Classic well laid out gallery. Top quality exhibition by Tracy Emin. Easy to walk around
Recommended by a friend, we came here to see Anthony Gormley’s exhibition. Gallery is spacious with neutral light. There are different rooms to display different artworks. Security is doing a great job handling the queues. You will not be disappointed. Have a nice relaxing afternoon here.
