Really great experience here with my partner last Friday We were barely there for 5 minutes before we were fitted to bikes and on an adventure! Received some great advice and guidance on the local routes and what to expect from them. Very reasonable prices and super friendly service!
Friendly service and great advice on a good day trip route and ice cream stop! Bikes were clean, in good condition and good style for the cycle paths we were reccomended. Even provided a fab trailer for our medium sized dog with no fuss. Great value too! Thanks for a fun day out :
Fantastic service! Squeezed us in on a busy bank holiday weekend and supplied us with bikes for all of our family, including our boy with mobility issues. Had a brilliant ride down the shore of Loch Venachar to Loch Achray Farm to enjoy the ice cream. This was a fantastic route that can be enjoyed by all.
Visited the Team at Wheels Cycling last week and found their service was not only extremely helpful but technically comprehensive. With a mixed family of pedalling abilities Mark and Peter delivered then collected a range of bikes which, after fitting, were superb. Absolutely no hesitation in saying we will be back and recommend Wheels Cycling to anyone looking for a first class service.
We hired 3 mountain bikes & an e bike. Great service & great bikes. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3+ hours. Route 7 towards Aberfeldy was a lovely ride even though it wasn't our intended route! We'll definitely be back.
Absolutely 1st class service. Good quality bikes, great route recommendations and even better people. It's a pity we can only give 5 star's. Not forgetting the cup of tea before we left .
Absolutely fantastic place to get your bikes. Emailed Mark a few months prior to arriving great communication, once we arrived we weren't disappointed great spec bikes friendly team and excellent knowledge of the area 5 star service and will definitely be using again we had 2 great days cycling and the area is unbelievable and routes suitable for all ages
Whilst on holiday in the area we decided to hire some bikes. Went on 2 separate occasions first time got 2 mountain bikes and 2nd time decided to try out 2 e-mountain bikes. Peter kept us right, and suggested some routes. Fabulous service and great bikes, will definitely be back in the future. Thanks you!
Used Wheels yesterday. Was well worth the walk out from Callander town ctr. Good bikes, friendly staff and the bike path on non road side of Loch Venachar is an ideal way to see Trossachs minus traffic. Def give them a go!
On Friday 2 August, I booked 2 cycles to hire for Sunday 4 August. At this point, the forecast for Callander was thundery showers with sunny spells and I was told on the 'phone that the bike hire would be fine. When we arrived on Sunday, the forecast was still for thundery showers and sunny spells. There was a yellow weather warning, meaning that we kept an eye on the forecast and made sure we were equipped appropriately. On our arrival, the truculent staff member was extremely unhelpful, first suggesting that we had no booking, then telling us that we couldn't have the bikes because of the weather. His main worry seemed to be that they would get dirty! Having driven specially from our home near Edinburgh, we decided to walk part of the route we had planned to ride. On our walk we saw many cyclists, all of whom were coping admirably with the conditions. Having cycled, hiked and camped all over the world, often in much more extreme conditions than are found in Scotland in August, I daresay we would have coped too. The weather – yes, some rain. We managed to deal with it by putting on our waterproofs. In summary, if I could give no stars I would. The staff member on the 'phone was great. The staff member on the day was dreadful, rude and patronising. Refusing to hire bikes out because of rain is unlikely to be a sustainable business model in Scotland!
