Amazing service from staff at CCW over the last few visits for my mum and I. I felt important to leave review. Liked a pair of boots and despite my size not being available they ordered another two sizes for me to try - nothing was a bother. Really personal service …….. also nice lunch upstairs to allow time for more shopping! Keep it local and visit this place!
Began shopping here when I moved over until we got shouted at on the shop floor by a miserable looking European manager called Elisa, much to the lovely staff’s embarrassment, when bringing back a camping item for a refund, which had worn out very quickly nothing was done other than the manager exploding, throwing her arms in the air and referencing “God”. We then, against our better judgment, bought some men’s flip flops which fell apart that afternoon. My partner and I are used to buying high quality clothing and outdoor gear - given his previous career and my country upbringing. So we know when products aren’t up to scratch. Even if they had not been happy refunding the camping item, there would have been many better ways to have discussed this. I did get the details of the owners to write to, but with so much happening, and coming from a family line of businessmen, I know that good and bad management often begins at the top, so there was little point in writing to them, as I could be in for another brutal rebuff. Especially as said unsmiling manager appears still to be installed. Suffice to say we didn’t go back with the flip flops, but simply binned them in a nearby bin. Neither of us have, or will, shop in this store again, despite us being reasonably local and outdoorsy. The café, which is owned separately by a lovely couple, is a great venue with good food. But I do not feel comfortable walking through the store to get to it after being so verbally accosted by a clearly unstable and very unhappy manager. I have seen her outside of the shop, and she is not a happy camper. But having a complete nervous system meltdown with customers, when in a position of responsibility is not good. As a dog lover I think it’s great the store is welcoming to dogs. It’s disappointing they can’t be the same towards humans.
Staff are always really helpful and knowledgeable. Good range of products, although not as diverse as it once was. A lovely shop, however, with plenty of products to browse through and purchase.
Great place, great staff and quality clothing! Cafe serving amazing grub up the stairs was a surprise welcome addition.
Had wonderful patient assistance from Roseanne today and am delighted with the coat I bought.
Always a delight looking at the fabulous window displays. If your looking for good quality and good banter with the girls, this is the place to shop. Keeping it local!!
