Fantastic, delicious , super tasty food but SHOCKING , very slow service. Terrible waiting time. Only three waiters for over 40 tables. Waiting for the mains, waiting for the drinks, waiting for the pudding, waiting for the bill...Waiting, waiting waiting... Super kind and polite staff thank you Callum they just unable to cope with so many orders.Where is the management, where is the owner ?
Vistited with my boyfriend, we were very impressed by the food our starters and mains were very tasty and good portions. The surroundings were nice but sadly its not a 5 star rating from us as we found the service to be rather poor. It took ages for someone to firstly take our drinks order I had to ask how long it would be to do so. After our food order was eventually taken the wait for it was actually good considering when we entered we were told it could be about a 30min wait even though it didn't really seem that busy. We'd finished our mains but waited longer than I'd have expected to clear plates then had to wait quite a while again to order deserts and again I had to call someone over to order rather than the waitress pay attention and ask us. A shame that the service let our experience here down because the food really was great, so not sure if we'd return
Having not been here for a while and meeting friends staying at Holiday Inn, I chose to take us here. It was a Tuesday night but it wasn't empty nor was it busy, they went through the process of looking at their bookings not that the place ever got that busy. We ordered drinks, usual selection available nothing to rush back for, we ordered food, I went for buttermilk chicken burger and chips, the chicken was dry and bit tough, little over done. There was onion rings which had little flavour, the chips were supposed to be skin on fries, these looked and tasted like oven ready. Big looking meal but nothing makes me want to go back again. The other person had steak which they enjoyed and said was good.
Haven't been here for ages. It was a lovely experience. Had a mixed grill which was faultless. Service was excellent. Extensive range of beers/ciders/lagers, Thatchers Gold was perfect. Perhaps a little dark inside used to be a bit of a negative on my last visit, and possibly a tad expensive, however I'm OK with that if the food/ambiance good. Easy to park, access to pub much easier now traffic lights installed on the bypass. Most definitely would return and recommend. Love it.
So drive past this place most weeks and have always wondered what it would be like to eat in. Well the opportunity presented itself and without doubt we were not disappointed. Well presented, clean and tidy and the staff, whilst a little inexperienced, were as helpful and polite as they could be. Good choice on menu and the food was to a high standard. Price was a little above what I would normally expect to pay in this type of dining experience. Only slight down side was staff were keen to rush us through even though they were not particularly busy. But overall a good experience, worth the tip and would deffo go back.
Very lovely restaurant. Staff were polite and welcoming. Food was lovely, but not the childrens pasta and meatballs, it was a little bit dry and tasteless. The adults mains were great and so was the creamy mushroom starter! Food was brought out very quick.
Went for breakfast this morning, the food was perfect and staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean and tidy.
Friendly staff, good food. Nice to see Pollock on the menu
Stopped in on way into Gloucester for brunch with a friend, very friendly warm welcome when we arrived, and very clean and well spaced tables as per current restrictions. Good selection of choice on the menu for all ages, I chose the full english, tho asked for no black pudding or mushrooms and they catered for my friends fussy food preferences as well no problem at all. A good meal deal price as well for me, for my meal, fruit juice and a hot drink so that was a bonus. Hot drinks served promptly and fresh cooked breakfasts not far behind, good size portion and well presented and hot and bacon and sausage where really delicious. Definitely going back when we up this way again. A real gem of a place.
The food and service from the staff was 10/10 I would highly recommend the batterered fish and the Bacon and cheese Burger will be coming back.
