Wow this is like Aladdin’s cave, I went to see Eddy in the marine department as I’m looking for a 3-4ft tank for my kitchen. Really helpful and very honest with the advice. Definitely worth taking the drive up to see rather than the more overpriced “local” bigger centres. Thank you.
Excellent shop! Top quality fish and very helpfully and knowledgeable staff. I picked up a great Flowerhorn at a good price too. He’s grown to into a cracking beast!
Awsome shop to visit whether you are a fish enthusiast or not. They have a Marine fish department, Tropical fish department and also cold water fish. They have a good variety on real plants and also decorative bits for your tank or pond. They also stock all goods that you may need. All staff are very knowledgeable in all departments and are always happy to help. Certainly worth a visit
Went here for the first time yesterday. My daughter heard about it on Facebook. At first glance, the main shop front seemed a lot smaller than we imagined with not many fish...... However, there is a much bigger section to the side of it that has loads of different varieties of tropical, freshwater and saltwater fish. Also a good amount of pond products, plants and accessories. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be returning here when needed.
What a great bunch of people who run the shop. Also really helped with professional advice too for my son who bought a fish tank today. Will be going back to them as they also have a massive range of fish some very rare ones too.
One thing I struggle with a lot with shops is that you cannot tell whether the fish are wild caught or not, this place has everything labelled and where they have come from. I only like to buy captive bread fish and their system helped me do so. They also have a massive range of fish, more than Maidenhead. I was finally able to get some Green Laser Corys and I was so happy. Some things might be more pricey then smaller stores but they make up for it with outstanding service, amazing stock and just a large range of fish.
I have been keeping fish for 30 years and have never been to a better aquatic shop. Huge stock list and the most knowledgeable of staff. 5 stars all day.
What an absolute treat it was to visit on Wednesday 8/3/23. For us it was an 11 hour round road trip from a different country. And it was worth every minute. A phenomenally cool selection of fish, I'd wager to cater for every keeper going. All the dry goods, tanks and scaper stuff you would ever need. Marine, tropical and a huge cold water department. Staff clearly working hard away, and yet extremely warm, friendly and attentive to our needs. Browsing that many tanks takes a while I had snacks with me and with such a diverse stock list? We had lots of questions. Tom cheers again! picked me out a cracking pair of Bankanensis and my pal came away with a stunning wee light base Scobina. Tanks are all independent, clearly labeled with some stats when appropriate, which is great. Oh I like that 4" something... I wonder.... Gets to 24". Cool. Not for me then. It's such a helpful little detail. Needs soft acidic water. Tropical. When most of their species is temperate. It's Brilliant. You guys keep doing you, and I'll always look forward to a Wharf trip.
Love going to this fish shop. A wide variety of different fish to choose from. I buy a lot of my fish and plants from here. Great customer service
The only place I will ever buy fish. There is a huge variety of cold water, tropical and marine. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
