Fancied some tasty fish so gave it a try for the big fish for£12 with peas and curry and home made tartare sauce.nnIt was a big piece of fish easily feed two as it was the £12 pound fish ,too of the linennThe batter was dark and slight gummy which is what I like. But it doesn't feel like the traditional crispy light batter many are used to.nnThe peas were standard and the curry sauce also.nnThe home made tartare sauce just tasted like cream whereas I like it popping with vinagary strong flavours.nnChips were decent skin on fries .nnId try it again but theres plenty of other places to try but you can't go wrong with this place .

I had the pensioners menu and Bern a couple of times the last being just two weeks ago. Fresh battered haddock with mushy peas and perfectly cooked chips accompanied by a nice pot of tea .. what more could you want .. I recommend totally

On entry we was told that we should have booked and that we was very lucky to be seated! because we had 6 of our residents from an elderly care home but whilst been here we’ve had the whole room to ourselves!! Amazing that when there so so busy! The guy who had taken our order was really rude has we wanted just the kids smaller portions has our residents only have a small appetite they was happy to do this until we said us has carers wasn’t eating he changed his mind and said no no I can’t do that we wouldn’t make any kind of profit so we’d no choice but to take the 3 course senior meal or leave which obviously we couldn’t get our residents back on our bus to then find somewhere else it was very disappointing has we was left to decide he went and we could clearly see he was telling another member of staff about the situation which is also very rude we will not be going back again

Food is really nice, all be it a little pricey,  when food came out I asked for a couple of slices of bread, which I never received.  But when I went to pay the bill, we'd been charged for them,the women  i paid was helpful and removed the items

Proper fish and chips for proper folk nnTook my mum here for her birthday and it's probably the best fish and chips  I've had for a very long time, the batter was like glass, crisp and full of flavour. The fish was perfectly cooked also.
