Excellent. The best I have had in Hove
We had a delivery from you on Tuesday.We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our delivery to arrive.We were all really looking forward to our meal.Food not even fit for a cat or dog.The food wasn't good at all.It was terrible.No flavour and no taste.Chicken in the curry tasted off.Chicken chow main tasted earthy.Very disappointed.We spent over £40.Food went in the bin.So upset.We've rang trading standards.
Been going here on and off for over 20 years it's never been great but OK. Even though I've now found the best Chinese curry in Hove I went here this time as its close and it was getting late. Only me so I asked for their curry and rice which come together, I upgraded for beef which was only 20p more. I made it quite clear NO MUSHROOMS, over and over I also asked for think sauce. I got a bowl with two thirds rice and one third curry, full off mushrooms, the beef was boiled and flavourless, the sauce wasn't thick with no flavour either. Sad after all these years but nah, I'll give it a miss. PS that good one, first on the left heading West up portland Road!! Its their curry's I think are good, not sure if I have had anything else.
Amazing food, order arrived on time, everything we ordered was well cooked, not greasy like most Chinese takeaways, I have tried most takeaways in Brighton and hove, but this place has to be number 1, definitely will always be ordering from here from now on.
Food was terrible. Found 3 dark black hairs in our food. Restaurant refused refund as ‘did not believe us’. They wanted to come and collect it as evidence but wouldn’t just take photo as proof and then was hung up on.
To recreate the Fortune House experience you need to: * Buy some duck spring rolls from Iceland and wack them in the microwave * Mix some dodgy chicken, frozen vegetables and starch in green water * Throw £30 in the bin Et voilà! The authentic experience. Literally the worst "Thai green curry" I've ever tasted. We tried to return the food but they flat out refused.
A pleasure to do buisness with. Nice and hot. Quick delivery and a friendly service with knock out food. Take my word for it you won't get better x
Very disappointed in this place, we got recommended by a friend so we decided to try it, we got told the wait is 50min we waited 2 hours i phoned to see where our food was she said theyve been really busy and its on its way we waited another 15min by this time im very upset and was not willing to pay full price i offered to will pay with a 20% off for the wait they just left with the food and would not even offer the 20% off for the wait i am so disgusted in this sort of customer service
Had a vegetarian dish with noodles. It was horrible. There were pieces of what looked like stringy chicken in it. Very few vegetables and full of over salted noodles. My friend liked his chow mein though.
Just tried fortune house for the first time and the food was terrible, the mixed seafood vermicelli was sloppy and had no flavour, the chicken cashew looked like it had been made with tinned veg and a stock cube. My advice, go to Singapore kitchen down the road, it's much better.
