I purchased afternoon tea vouchers as a gift and a three course Sunday dinner here online for my mum and some family members. On both visits they have come away extremely happy,saying the quality of food and service has been exceptional. Will definitely book again soon. Highly recommended. Great job all round. Thank you
Went for a birthday celebration. Food and drink were great. We had the 3 course meal which had good choices for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Staff were helpful and overall great atmosphere. Well worth it for a lovely evening.
We had a lovely evening meal here recently to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and the service was very good. The food was excellent too. They have an extensive drinks menu. Would highly recommend.

Had the beef for Sunday lunch. It was like Rubber unfortunately. Told the waitress, no apology,would have been courteoussaid she'd tell the chef. Was not offered another piece, or even a free drink. Would have been nice to have been offered some gesture. Shame, as it is a beautiful place, and was our first time there.Service: 4/5
Night away with my partner. We had the bridal suite due to it being the only room left. Was very lovely. 4 poster bed etc We went to the Cellar for our evening meal. 3 course meal as part of our bed breakfast and evening meal tariff. All was very lovely. Staff could of been more attentive though as we waited quite a while for drink top ups and even asked 2 different members of staff to take our order. Staff were also cleaning floors and bathrooms whilst waiting on which tbh I didn’t like. They had gloves on but not aprons, it just didn’t seem appropriate when serving food. Breakfast was only continental which I wasn’t told when booking and anything cooked had to be paid for and was quite expensive. The lady in charge at breakfast was VERY loud and just to much she didn’t seem to fit in to the relaxing mood of the hotel. I waited 20 mins for toastas the toaster had broken and was told that the chef had to do something else. It was just us and an elderly couple in there and they had only ordered toast to Anyway, the hotel is very lovely and the room also just a few bits let it down really. We may give it another go in the future, we will see.
Afternoon tea with friends it was amazing. Food was tasty and plentiful service could not have been better. A great afternoon was had by all would highly recommend, excellent on all counts.Service: 5/5
Just had a tasting meal for my wedding breakfast, such amazing food & I'd highly recommend this as a place to eat. I know some friends have also been to have afternoon tea as well and said it was great!Rooms: 4/5
Food was not remarkable. We were overcharged £27. They had charged us for individualised courses rather than the set price three course festive meal deal.. When challenged, they couldn't offer any explanationService: 5/5
Booked a meal as a Christmas gift for the parent in laws. There were 4 of us. The service was very slow , the starters were very good when the mains arrived 3 of us received ours the 4th didn't arrive after 10 minutes we asked why as our meals were nearly cold they said they were sorry the kitchen was aware of it and it would not be long. 2 of our party ordered lamb I ordered the roast dinner the missing meal was fish and chips which arrived a couple of minutes later. The lamb was nice my roast dinner was disappointing I've had better at a local carvery the fish and chips the fish was over cooked and dry on telling the serving staff they apologised told the manager and came bavk and offered us a couple of desserts free. No appology by the management . Very disappointed would not go again
