Always been a good pub, plenty of beers to choose from, lovely warm open fire in the winter
We called in as we were out for a drive, we received a very friendly welcome and shown the menu. We chose the curry platter for 2. Yes we had to wait a bit but it was freshly cooked and well worth the wait. The open fire was a very nice feature on a cold day. Thank you.
This is a really lovely welcoming pub, which has recently started doing Sunday lunch. In our opinion it's definitely worth a visit - very generous servings, delicious puds, give them a try, you'll not be disappointed!
Wednesday 12th April 2023 Today when I ventured into this proper locals real ale pub on the outskirts of Bridge water There was 3 real ales on Every one in the pub knew each other the landlady was very good and a easy going atmosphere was had there was a beer off so the landlady when saw this went down to cellar and changed it Sadly no CAMRA MEMBER DISCOUNT But since COVID lots of things have gone out of favour Good pub I would use again
Lovely pub, never seen so many bar snacks!
Food took a long time too come, not much choice on menu, ok if you like curry or burgers. Won't be going again.
The pub itself is great but the food has really let things down, This is the 2nd time I've eaten here . First time I ordered a burger basket, massive value for money in terms of price and quantity but..... The burger came out with cheese unmelted nor did it ever melt because the burger was cold. Not to mention the half red onion in the burger overpowering it. First time I'll always give the benefit of doubt. 2nd time I visited I thought I would play it safe and have some cheesy chips. Easy enough .... However the chips came out with cold packaged cheese sprinkled all over. 30 seconds under the grill/microwave would have been perfect but there was no care taken at all. Staff happy to serve me half a bowl of cold cheese instead. This is fundamentally down to zero care given. 30 seconds to melt cheese.... Come on guys sort it out !!! On a side note.... You need to get in touch with your corona rep... Your on tap Corona is wasting you massive amount of money and the staff are all too happy to pour it down the drain rather than sort the issue out. I ran pubs for a few years and your literally pouring your profits down the drain !!! Overall..... You have an amazing pub with a great pub garden, however the views are ruined by overgrown trees and shrubbery. I'm guessing you own the bit after the fence as you have a side access gate ! Your lunchtime menu is definitely value for money however serving cold cheese/burgers is such a simple fix .... Your skin on fries were great the 1st time I ate but 2nd time unfortunately you had standard fries. Onto the next pub for me.....
Great food, great service. Friendly staff
It's a nice pub, however we went on a Sunday Afternoon and the kitchen wasn't open even though there was signs with food menus on. The kid play area can also do with some improvements or atleast make it more exciting for the kids. Nice drinks and great staff, will go back
Lovely ploughman's lunch, lovely country views out to North Petherton, great service
