Decent place for a drink or even dinner. We had the JD burger and the lasagne and both dishes were tasty. No service to the table so you need to go to the bar and order there. Efficient service and tasty food. Nothing fancy but great if that is what you are looking for
Really nice restaurant next to the docks. We had a vegetable homemade lasaña really tasty and nice and a burguer with nuggets and JD sauce really good. The people working there are nice and the place has a restaurant part appart from the pub which also serves sunday roast on sundays. It has also a terrace for the sunny days.
3 of us visited here. We hadn't booked and they were very busy and managed to fit us in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The good came quickly. It was hot and cooked very well. I had a burger with cheese and bacon. The top of the bun and some toppings were laid next to the burger on the bottom of the bun. Was a nice way to serve the food. It came with chips and coleslaw. I thoroughly enjoyed my food. The portions were of a good size. We all left full. I will definitely come here again.
We decided to have our 4th wedding anniversary meal here at Admirals landing, and we can honestly say how wonderful it was to spend the evening here, our table was beautifully decorated and our server Elisha was amazing, she was so very polite, helpful, courteous and friendly, we recommend Admirals landing to anyone looking for fantastic food, relaxing atmosphere, thank you to the landlady Nicky and her staff xx
Thoroughly enjoyed the Xmas carvery 3 course with colleagues as part of our festive work night out last Sunday. Staff really looked after us must have been over 25 of us. Will definitely be going back for more !
Went in today for a carvery, it was very nice, well worth the money!!! Only trouble was we sat near the kitchen door which was banging every time a member of staff came out!!! Needs sorting so it doesn't make a loud bang.
Just tried to eat here. £23.95 for a T-bone steak and had 3 bites and had to leave it. Tasted like it had been sat in fat. Very tough. My wife’s meal was tasteless. Never walked out and left a meal like this before but couldn’t stomach it.
The staff at this establishment is very rude & need to learn some manners towards customers. We were stood by the bar just talking & this man screamed at us for " hovering by the bar" " well now you've had your drinks you can MOVE AWAY!" not really the attitude to take towards customers. Maybe regulars might expect that curt behaviour but new customers won't!
Booked a works Christmas meal for 12 to 14 people. Had a phone call the day before asking if we were still coming as we hadn't paid the deposit per person nor had we pre ordered. I said I wasn't told we had to do either, only if we were having a set Xmas menu which we weren't. Then i was told we would still need to pre order as they would need to order steaks in etc from the butcher. I said okay do you have a menu online, was told no. I asked if someone could screen shot a menu over to save time. Instead i was asked to email them and ask for a menu. I did this and rang back to say no menu has been sent to me yet an hour later. By the time it was gone 7pm I decided to ring up and cancel as poorly managed and it wasn't fair on the boss paying for everything's meals when it wouldn't have been there first choice or even there second choice the way things were going. And I also explained the same happened to us last year. Where we had a poor choice of menu as everything was already sold out and again no one had asked us to pre order. Very disappointed indeed. Both people I spoke to were polite but unfortunately badly managed. And didn't seem to bothered about loosing a booking of that size.
Family meal situated in a rowdy bar area where people had been drinking all day getting progressively louder! Food was average at best. My burger bun had clearly been microwaved and had gone so hard it wasn't edible. They got the starters and mains wrong for several of our diners and one main came out 10+ mins after the others and wrong! Would avoid busy times as the kitchen seemed overwhelmed and quality was clearly affected. Have heard good things about lunch time but won't be back for an evening meal as the experience was disappointing.
