Everyone gets a friendly welcome at this lovely local museum. I was there to see their exhibits about the 1745 Jacobite Army and there is plenty to see. The embroidered waistcoat they have is stunning and the 'secret portrait' on a tray is fascinating. I also enjoyed the geology exhibit and learnt a lot about the mountains around Fort William. Thank you this was well worth visiting.

Excellent museum crammed full of historical artefacts. Staff very friendly and helpful too. Wee bit slow service at till as staff have to write down every individual item you purchase. Nice clean, tidy and well laid out exhibition though.

This is an interesting stop on a rainy day full stop lots of interesting history and a good timeline of some of the history of Scotland and the jacobite rebellion. Not a big building so might take half an hour to get through it

Lovely, eclectic museum with an old fashioned vibe. A random assortment of Highland memorabilia, but it works to paint a picture of the diverse features of the region. Located in a beautiful old building below Ben Nevis.
