We come here regularly. Convenient location, nice spacious building. Great separate spaces for kids and adults. Helpful friendly staff. Only positive experiences so far. Even if you don't have a card, when you are in the area, just come and sit to read smth while enjoying the view out of the window.
I used to enjoy going in here but tend to avoid now. Find the staff pretentious and quite aloof. Good facilities when they're working and well run however staff won't lift a finger beyond their basic job description. Refused snootily to spare me a paper clip or staple for a print out - "oh no - we don't provide those.." Had some unfair charges applied but also very snootily refused to remove them. Mentioned to a very amiable Nottingham City Librarian today, apparently they would have removed the charges. He smiled knowingly and said "no comment". Clearly a familiar complaint.. The new city library the way to go
We are v privalidged to have such a lovely building, situated right in Bridgford Park. Beautiful views from meeting rooms and upstairs floors over ancient trees. Was sad to see the interior change to a more bland corporate look after a great bright start following the refurbishment. Got to be one of the best locations for a local library in nottinghamshire, v accessible, with a bus stop and excellent regular service. Good disabled access up via a long ramp at the front. Special bike racks too and a shoppers car park right next to it. A lovely walk into the park and to local shops, fantastic restaurants and aminities on central avenue a few short strides away.
Terrible library in fact the worst I have ever been in. Totally lazy useless staff who never actually do anything but stand in groups gossiping and talking to their friends whilst customers wait for service. If I was in better health I would just travel to the new City Library.
Very nice place for good facilities and nice collection of books. The stuffs are very supportive. Highly recommended
Newly refurbished library open 7 days a week. Has comfortable chairs for reading. Very bright and next to the park. Lots of computers and WiFi access. Friendly and helpful staff. Has public toilets inside. Has lots of OS Maps for loan.
This library is a fantastic place for me to visit when I’ve got extra time to kill on a Sunday. There is no library open in my city Derby on Sunday but to the point I always make the journey every Sunday for a visit to the neighbour city before the footy. When there’s no football during international break there’s more time to kill but I want a space to relax in. Well West Bridgford library is the one library that I know in the Derby - Nottingham region that is open on Sundays and it really is a lovely space the top floor in particular with plenty of computers and very comfortable seats. The perfect library and space to relax when you want to be away from home at the weekend and need a computer or a book to read this is the place to go. This place makes it so worth the journey from Spondon
Went to the library to attend a book discussion with the author Mike Gayle. Large and spacious library. Plenty of nearby parking, but beware that you have to pay right up to 8pm.
We came and registered our daughter for a library card - the process was straightforward and the lady behind the desk was so lovely. My daughter loves the library as it’s quiet! We’re currently on our second set of books. Straightforward returns and borrowing process. Beautiful library.
This place is simply amazing for all age groups. one can use computers, read and barrow books. well kept and clean. staff are exceptional and polite. barrow and return process is very simple. very warm and clean.
