Allow at least half an hour to understand the car parking arrangements. It’s very confusing. We could have been spending money.
Plenty of spaces and, get ready for this, it's free to park there. Long and short stay spaces available, both are free. Short stay is 3 hours which is more than enough to explore Hexham.
Large car park, free to park. It has different areas depending on how.lonh you are staying. White bays.free all day , blue bays time restricted and pass needed. A little confusing. Somebody told me about.the colored bays.
What a wonderful car park. Covered in tarmac and everything. Much better than a muddy field. Places individually marked out to keep everything nice and tidy. It has its own supermarket, a swimming pool, handy public toilets, some ev chargers, and even a cafe! If car parks are your thing, this one is not to be missed. Be aware of the colour coding system for the bays. Some are free, some not.
BEWARE! Sign says “parking is free” between certain hours, but only if you go off and BUY an antiquated cardboard “disc” from a shop! So…it clearly is not “free”. Feels like it’s designed to deliberately catch people out. Pretty disgraceful really. Get with the times, Northumberland County Council.. get it on RingGo, make it easy for visitors bring money to your area, and stop scamming people.
Big, easy to find and perfect for visiting the town. Its free as well! What's not to like.
Large free car park. Parking disc needed for dome bays
It's Free..? but you're meant to display some sort of parking disc.. which, being a visitor to the town, I didn't have.. very confusing system !! Took a punt and parked up. No ticket. Soo.. yeah.
Really big car park next to the town centre long stay only £1 , super convenient to access the abbey and the Hexham jail
Car park costs £1 for the parking permit. There are 3 parking zones, red, blue and white. Red allows upto 2hrs, blue upto 4hrs white zone all day. Plenty of shops in the town centre .
