Really good get to see all the animals up close and there is talks about them all the time. It is set on a large mountain and some of the animals are in areas up and down hill. A really good day out. Be sure to get there early on peak days because there carpets aren't very big.

Lovely day out, lots of different animals to see and the zoo grounds make for a nice walk. The animal displays are very entertaining and you can get up close and personal. In need of a refurbishment in some areas but that doesn't really let it down too much

What a lovely little Zoo. Lots to look at with well knowledgeable staff, we really enjoyed the penguin feeding as they are let out of their enclosure and walked around in an roped off area for feeding making the whole experience much more pleasant. Well worth a visit and value for money.

Probably best in warmer weather. We went in March and were frozen. Also, we had a buggy and although it's passable, it's a bit of a struggle up and down the step paths. We stayed about an hour and a half but would have liked to stay longer. We may return if in the area at a warmer time of year. Despite the weather, we enjoyed the bird show, penguins and sealion show. Not bad value compared to say, Chester Zoo but considerably smaller too.

Fabulous place. I recommend driving there or getting a taxi. It's not called mountain zoo for nothing. I walked and it's a very steep road up. The zoo is amazing and staff lovely. Chester zoo is good too but I'd rather come here any day.
