The worst medical practice 6 months waiting just to get a appointment every time I call them in the morning they just respond to me to give them a call back tomorrow. Will definitely change it. The receptionist are rude when I was speaking to them they have advised me that there is only emergency appointments to give them a call back tomorrow never asked me about my symptoms just hung up the phone on me.
Where to start I think there should be 0 rating score available for patients. Been trying to get an appointment since last Thursday however I am still unable to and told to keep trying. I actual went to practice this afternoon and been told that they aren't taking any appointments over the counter and that I need to come out and ring for the appointment. As soon as got home went on the phone and after 25 min of waiting someone answered my call and then hang up so I tried again and lucky someone answered after 25 min telling me that they are actually closed. Who ever answered was quiet rude and disrespectful to me and told call 111 after 6pm if I need to. Keep away if you can
I cannot say anything bad, have had up to 3 appointments a week to treat wound dressing over last two months. Nurses have been fantastic As for getting appointments over the phone, I try to ring at exactly 8.30 and generally wait no more than 5-10 minutes, I appreciate it can be difficult but this is all free, remember
Very disappointed that I cannot give 0 stars. This practice has the absolutely RUDEST, DISRESPECTFUL staff answering the phone. People who are so insensitive, they drop the phone on you after you waited 45 minutes for someone to pick up. Sharon or Shannon or whatever her name is shouldn’t work in healthcare with sick people. She is incredibly annoyed, like patients are bothering her by calling. I have mental health issues that I an being seen for and am out if medication. I tried to explain something to staff and she would just talk over me and didn’t listen to anything I tried explaining, then dropped as i was in the middle of speaking, asking her a question. This can seriously trigger someone. People who actually have compassion and empathy should work within healthcare, not people like her. GPs are good but it’s just unfortunate that you need to go through the rudest, most inconsiderate staff first in order to get an appointment. The receptionists need to be replaced or some serious training sessions on having basic human decency and professionalism is overdue.
Called first thing this morning at 8.35am and was answered 35mins later. The position in queue system is very helpful, better than just a ringing telephone. Receptionist was very polite, helpful and pleasant.
Been calling over the past month no one answers the phone and I have work so it makes it hard to get in touch especially if it's a serious matter. Also visited the practice awhile a go, GPS are nice but they only view you for the problem you booked in for if you tell them any more symptoms they don't have time and it's not what you booked for so you have to book again which will take over a month. I have been on the phone over 30 min noone is awnsering the phone ridiculous.
Going to KILL someone - My dad has been quite ill, feeling dizzy, ponding head and has been trying to book in an appointment since November 2022. Its now 6th January 2023 and basically this practice literally turns off the phones and no one can get through. If you go inside they tell you to call the telephone number. My dad is 83 years old and I had to take him to a private doctors I paid who carried out blood tests and blood pressure and they told me the medication for high blood pressure was causing my Dad issues. Luckily my Dad had me, as he could not afford a private doctor. Plus some of his blood markers are red. This practice is going to kill somebody as they should be monitoring all patients that they give extra high blood pressure tablets to, to make sure that these tablets do not cause serious harm to patients. This practice in my opinion is not giving it patients a good level of care and someone is going to die.
We have lived in Wellington for 3 years and my husband has hung off registering with Wellington Medical Practice due to their appalling reputation sadly we can’t register anywhere else. My husband took registration forms to Wellington medical practice and tried to hand them to the receptionist. The receptionist refused to take the forms and said he had to put them in the post box outside - talk about inefficiency. Today he rang to book an appointment and was advised he hadn’t completed all the necessary forms - had the receptionist taken the forms and checked we would have known this straight away!!! Call handler who are blameless in all this spoke to ‘someone’ who advised we could go on line and complete the missing part.I asked which one was missing and she didn’t know . So how do we complete the missing part of the form!!!! My hubby is now on his way to WMP to collect missing part which he probably won’t be able to hand to receptionist as it’s not in her job description. The sad thing is all the 0 & 1 star ratings are clearly ignored because nothing changes at WMP.
I personally have been well looked after with my issues, I never have a problem getting an appointment. It must have been terrible during pandemic , doctors do work hard. Let’s give credit when it’s due , Thankyou so much for looking after me.
Calling for hours to make an appointment when you don’t have a landline and on pay as you go it’s a nightmare!! Walk in told them I was calling for days and she said to me go home and call they’d nothing she can do!! On so many occasions my kids and myself just didn’t get the right treatment !! I feel like I’m dying with a migraine for days !!
