We ordered Fish and Chips, the smallest portion of chips I have ever received. The fish was dry and the batter was so dark and had them little dark bites on them. Will definitely not be returning

Lightly battered fish and chips, what a disgrace and a slap in the face to the industry! Uncooked batter the reason I opt for lightly battered the batter is supposed to be light and crispy not like cake mix underneath the pictures speak for themselves. The chips were limp and half of them were also undercooked. No crispy outside with a soft fluffy inside just plain awful. Covered in black bits from what I can only assume is poorly maintained oil/apparatus. Choices of drink available in the fridge limited to a choice of 5 cans diet coke, cream soda, cherryade, shandyade or lemonade All round an unpleasant experience and a massive 'do not return' based on the food alone. A gentleman that was not familiar with the language was clearly asking for some guidance in making a choice from the available menu and received no help whatsoever which lost the business a potential sale, lucky escape for him in my opinion. Never again to return here. You couldn't pay me enough to come back
This was a fantastic place to go for lunch, with the options clearly detailed at the counter! The staff were welcoming and even offered to organize for food to be served at the same time as my friend when he had to withdraw cash, haddock and chips was delicious coming in quick time.Food: 5/5
Inept - ordered fish and chips and received no chips, the fish was awful. The “Manager” was literally no help, and didn’t know what to fix the issue.Food: 1/5
Slow service wasn’t even acknowledged to say won’t be a moment or even hello, the food is ok average at best my battered sausage seemed to have a few scraps stuck to a sausage as an alternative to being battered but the prices are mental they must have Knightsbridge or Kensington menus. I’ll stick to towngate in idle or drakes in future.
A decent chippy, good prices and food was fine - chunky chicken pie for £3 was fine, very like they had used tinned chunky chicken and put pastry around it, but for £3 it was good... did have a small bone in it though!Food: 4/5
