Took my pooch up here for sunny but cold walk, it's a stunning place, we shall be going back again to do more exploring soon
Absolutely lovely stroll around the lake. Not too busy. Even with my mobility issues I got around fine.
The car park is free, there's plenty of space. You have to travel up a very bumpy and uneven cobbled road to get to the car park, so if you have a low riding vehicle be careful. It's also very narrow on the way up there so be aware of oncoming vehicles. Pic looking down into the car park from the reservoir path Dog-friendliness: Plenty of dog walkers, assume dogs are very welcome up there Picnic area: There's a couple of benches and a bin located in the car park, on a slightly raised area. Okay for a picnic I guess.
Lovely nature reserve. Well worth a visit and walk.
A lovely place to walk around. A couple of miles walk around the reservoir with plenty to see.
This is such a beautiful place, perfect for an easy hike, relaxing walks, fresh air, most people would say hello with a smile, also I always see people walking their dogs, even horse riding and sometimes fishing.
I’ve been coming here for 20 years! Always a parking space and fantastic walk around the reservoir. My father’s ashes are here in the remembrance area...
I can't believe I've lived near this area for 40 years and never been. Went for a first time walk around the reservoir today I really enjoyed the walk as in places its flat and then there are some more challenging places, I would recommend some good walking shoes especially with the weather we've had recently it was very muddy in places and slippy. Plenty of people walking dogs but glad to say didn't see any dog poo. Definitely going back in the summer to see how different it is.
A beautiful area for walking with amazing views. The reservoir was built on the site of the old Watergrove village. Free car park and some bridleway paths that are good for cycling too. You won’t be disappointed
It's a car park, it's great as a car park too, does what it says really. Lovely place to walk around, short walk but lovely. Dog-friendliness: A few bins around the site, just wish more people would use them! Picnic area: Few tables clean and tidy.
