Good little park with plenty to do for kids with the play areas on show practically on entry with a small shop allowing you to get refreshments on a warm day.nnIf your more inclined to do a spot of bird watching, the boating lake is the place for you! You can easily spot geese, goslings, ducks, the occasional swan and herons if you look closely.nnThey also have a bird feed dispenser which takes contactless payments, so, if you have children with you you can give into their demands and pressure and allow them to feed the ducks.nnIf none of this interests you then its always a nice scenic place to go for a walk around a lake on a sunny day.
Queens park is my Grandsons favourite park. It has The best cafe dog friendly selling everything from breakfasts to ice creams Mr whippy the Cafe provides toilet facilities at the back.n2 Playgrounds one just for the little ones aswell as outdoor gym equipment.nA fabulous lake to walk around whilst feeding the ducks, tip, buy your duck food at the Cafe its cheaper than the machine by the lake and you get more.nIf you don't fancy eating in the Cafe then get a takeaway, there's a huge field with a purpose built concrete all weather stage where the children can perform for you till their hearts content while you sit at a picnic table and enjoy your lunch.nThere are Tennis courts and a fabulous bowling green with benches all the way round to leisurely sit and enjoy the beautifully kept Gardens.
Very nice park. Exercise equipment and climbing rigs for all. Bowling green if that's for you. Two play parks for younger visitors. Nice large pond to walk round. Lovely little tea room with snacks, ice creams etc. Very clean and well looked after.
the most beautiful parks in North Manchester. Great play area, lovely walks, lake and river with lots of wildlife; swans, heron, ducks, geese, woodpeckers. A little cafe and public toilets and plenty of benches and picnic area.
First time visiting this park, and the kids loved it. Easy parking on the road outside, though Limited, but there is a car park a bit further down the road. Great park for the kids with pirate ship climbing frame, swings, and more. A toddler park also and exercise apparatus for adults. There is a train that takes you around the park for £2 each, which the kids loved. Picnic benches and even a stage for the kids to show their talent on. Also, a bike track for budding bike riders who want more than an easy strole. The park has a tea room which serves hot food and tea.All around a well-kept and great little park.
