Free parking available inside the park. Great kids play area and climbing frames, they have little bird's nest's for the kids to climb in. Take plenty of seed to feed the ducks and geese. Plenty of open space for a picnic and there is a large Tesco just down the road for drinks and snacks.
The play area is pretty small and gets boring very quickly. Got rid of the safety barriers next to the lake. Ice-cream van hardly every comes. Inappropriate drawings all over the park. Could make more play space/picnic area. Playground: Playgrounds are pretty small and are pretty boring. Could improve them. Restrooms: Smell like urine and the toilets were probably updated in 1987estimate. They also use dirty water for their taps and and have overgrown plants in there. Dog-friendliness: Dogs usually attack you, and owners don't stop them. Dogs are always in the play areas. Owners sometimes don't put the on leashes. Picnic area: Has very little picnic area, and most of the time, you will have to sit on the floor.
Played golf at the course within the park. It is called Marland Golf. 18 holes with fantastic views. A fair golfing challenge. Much recommended.
A nice stroll first thing in the morning gets a bit busy when the tennis starts but a pleasant enough for a couple of hours
It’s been a while since I had been to the park, I see they have removed the sand around the pirate ship. The nieces were happy to play on the swings and slide, it could do with more play apparatus as there wouldn’t be enough if it was busy. Now the duck pond, the amount of duck droppings on the path and grass was discussing and must be dealt with asap as there are many germs in the droppings that can infect humans.
Great place to visit. Park busy but lots to do within the park. Kids absolutely loved the swings etc. Highly recommended for a day out well maintained also and safe.
First time visiting the park with my 2 grandchildren, boy 4 and girl 2. The park is well maintained, grass cut and clean and tidy. All the equipment was painted and in very good condition
Enjoyed the walk weather was nice, I'm sure i last came her during my high school days 30+ years ago
