Such a good campsite! All amenities you need. Instantly hot shower was a bonus. And we found chocolate eggs on our table on Easter Sunday morning, thank you for a great stay!Rooms: 5/5
Absolutely beautiful campsite, just returned from the most peaceful weekend. A real feel of being on your own due the the perfect pitches, at a time when all other sites are trying to squeeze as many people as possible in it was really refreshing. Lovely location, walks to pubs/restaurants and brewery. Perfect compost loos, logs for sale at a good price, lovely owner with helpful local tips and pitches really well priced. Take note other campsites, this is how you should be doing it!
This has to be the nicest campsite we have ever stayed at. And we have been camping for years. Secluded areas to choose to pitch up. No cars allowed on site but huge barrows to unload camping stuff into. We had a trailer that we were able to push to our pitch. Camp fires allowed. I'm a bit dubious about composting loos. But these were immaculate. Clean hot showers . A little hut full of books, games and spare to use. Lovely area to walk the dog, a little wooded area . Joe , the owner, very welcoming and walked around daily to make sure everything was OK. If your looking to relax and recharge this is perfect.
A real gem. Booked this for a weekend very last minute. So glad we found this lovely campsite. Beautiful setting and so peaceful. Very clean toilets and showers. The owner is welcoming and helpful. A lovely place to go and we will definitely be going back.Service: 5/5
Wonderful stay, whole site to myself as it was start of the season and on a Monday, met Joe on arrival who was super helpful, many thanksRooms: 5/5
Beautiful campsite with paths winding through the tall grass giving everyone their own little area and the whole campsite a magical feel. The owners have thought of so many details from the library to the washing areas, everything so lovingly made. We loved every second of our 5 days here.
Cracking, simple eco-campsite. Stopped the night in our little campervan in a spacious area set aside for vans. Chatted with the owner Joe who is a nice bloke and really helpful. We'll set out site with vegetation separating guests so you feel like there's space and privicy. If you can't hack compost toilets and simple amenities, then perhaps not the place for you but was perfect for us!
A lovely secluded campsite. Camping plots and trails in the long grass. My dog loved bouncing in the grass. Good facilities, nothing fancy, although the40°C shower was amazing. And the craft brewery 'bull in the woods' a stones throw away.Service: 5/5
Brilliant site, would not hesitate to return. We stayed 5 nights in our camper and had such a relaxed and stress free break. Loved the layout, feeling of being away from everything, no cars diving on site, sitting round fire at night on your pitch. Such a chilled and relaxed site, Joe always had time to chat and make you feel welcome. Thanks for a great stay!
Visit every year and will continue to come. I hammock and there are perfect spots to hang them from amongst the trees but also the spots for tents are fab each spot feels tucked away and hidden from the rest of the world. Joe the owner is great and incredibly helpful. I love all camping but at some sites you feel crammed in alongside random people but here even when it's completely full you feel alone, private and relaxed. Food & drinks: Do pop round the corner to the Bull of the Wood brewery to pick up your beers and cider for your holiday. Also visit Geldeston Locks Inn for a swim/paddle in the river followed by a drink and a meal.
