I have visited this establishment on numerous occasions, introducing more friends and family each time. The premises is clean and well presented. The staff are welcoming and genuinely happy to see you, remembering you from previous visits and taking time to interact with you. The food and drink are of excellent quality, served hot, with just the right wait time, understanding the food is freshly prepared. My grandson loved his food, wandered through the bar and was excited to visit the gardens, with children’s toys. Another great dining experience, thanks, thoroughly recommended!
Driving out from Southwold we wanted to find a pub where we could eat and relax, well we found this place driving back up the A12 and well we found exactly what we wanted. Lovely pub and restaurant, service was great from the moment we walked into The Plough. Food was absolutely spot on you could tell each dish was freshly made to order. Great prices too £40 for 2 of us with drinks. Highly recommend the plough.
Stopped off on the way back to Leiston after a coastal walk. Glad we did as lovely and cosy inside. Freshly done up. Chatted with the manager/landlord for a little while, they had just taken over the place and only opened on Tuesday. Beautifully homemade food I had fish and chips, my partner had a burger. My partner said it was one of the best burgers he’d had in a while, tasted like beef rather than nothing! Fish and chips was huge, very feeling. It cost us £55 for a starter to share Camembert, mains, two pints of beer and two cokes. Don’t read the other reviews as it’s been closed since the summer check their Facebook!. We will definitely be back!
Very nice pub, great food but we was the only 2 people in there so lacking in atmosphere Food & drinks: Great
A lovely Suffolk pub, we ended up here by chance having been rained out of a local event. Staggering soggily through the door the staff managed to seat us quickly despite the restaurant being fully booked. Good selection of Adams beers on tap and a varied menu. The children loved the handmade chicken nuggets with the chef's own extra crispy batter. The curry was well seasoned and delicious. Well worth a meal.
If you are on the A12 between Southwold and Kessingland, and you are hungry, then pop in you won't bd disappointed with the home cooked food.Service: 5/5
Beautiful food, warm welcome, excellent welcome and great beer and cider.Service: 5/5
Good choice of meals on the menu at reasonable prices. Our meals arrived quickly and well cooked. Local beers and ciders available. Excellent service by friendly staff. A great find in a good location and very happy dog friendly. It was lovely to be welcomed in to such a friendly and accommodating pub. Thank you. Food & drinks: Excellent
We had a two night break at The Plough Inn with our dog. We received a very friendly reception and shown to our room by Wendy. The room was a very good size plenty of room for our dog. If I was being very critical I would say that the furnishings looked a bit tired. Good size bathroom with large separate shower cubicle. We ate in the restaurant both evenings. Again very good service and good value. Breakfasts, cooked by Wendy she is obviously a master of all trades even managing to serve an excellent Irish Coffee were of a high standard, freshly cooked tasty breakfast. As The Plough is situated on the A12 there is obviously some traffic noise but did not disturb our sleep. Look forward to returning, excellent value
Fantastic quality of food, wonderful hosting and very comfortable environment.Service: 5/5
