Beautiful park to visit. Its a very peaceful walk around the duck pond. The play park here is suitable for all ages and the kids love it. Theres a war memorial to visit too. Its tradition to climb onto the big gun and have someone take your picture. The best thing about ward park are the birds. You can see the most beautiful peacocks! There are plenty of other birds too. If you fancy a game of tennis there are courts the other side of the pond. Highly recommmend a visit if you haven't been

This place is really good hasn't changed much over the years. It has a good selection off birds so good chance to get good pictures. The best thing about this place it's free so good option to take the kids to for a bit. Also has a play park in the park also.

A lovely oasis close the the town center with parking, walks, playing fields, kids playground and a cannon. Yes, a german submarine cannon. Quite busy in good weather, a little rain allows for a quiet walk in beautiful surrounds. Exotic birds and fowl wander around, people watching.

Beautiful old park hidden just on the edge of the town centre. Bowling greens, tennis courts, playing fields, kids play area and a great selection of birds and ducks. Take a dander through the lovely mature trees round the duck ponds and leave the stress of the town behind! Also features an impressive war memorial and ww2 german cannon.

Great place for a walk with or without children. Good play park and great birds etc to see and ducks to feed. While we were there the peacock was displaying his feathers
