Our wedding registration ceremony was handled with greatest care by two lovely lady in The Town Hall on 23 January in outstanding Strawberry Suite. I must say, that everything from the booking point to printing our marriage certificate went so smooth, professional and hassle free. Moved into the borough in December 2022. To date they have not set up my council tax account despite chasing biweekly to avoid it piling up. And now I’m being sent council tax reminders and being told to pay in a lump sum. What makes it worse is the telephone customer service where they talk to you as though you’re in the wrong when it’s clearly their inability to action simple tasks causing the issue. They don’t respond to emails, their staff on the call just want to hang up quick rather than actually help and their online website user friendliness looks like it’s stuck in the early 90s.
Website seems interesting, I just reported missing recycling collection and Web page asked me to give rating to the comment box. As I started to write to comment that it's actually too premature to ask feedback as that job isn't completed!!! Then it said that comment box is for rating, confused. Here is your rating now, I would love to give better feedback really.
This is council is an utter joke Seems like they hire incompetent people Booked a large item collection for the 6th Dec collection drivers came one very rude man said he does not want to take the items and gave no rationale as to why they wouldn’t take it They rebooked for 20th and was told there was a delay and someone should arrive by 10pm the latest called the council who is only open till 5pm but got through to someone who said the same wait till 10pm and if not you have to rebook explained I have had this booked in twice so why should I rebook again! I asked him to advise mention in a team meeting that the council helpline stays open until 10pm if large collection services run up until 10pm he then said he can’t give that recommendation as he is not a member of the public. I mean how hard is it to tell your manager that it makes no sense to be open 9-5 if services finish at 10pm as people may still have questions regarding the service So unhelpful and a useless council The mind boggles what do we pay all this council tax for …. Nothing clearly
Terrible services, been having trouble with my house and major leaking inside the building for over 2 years now, keep telling me they will pass me over to the Morgan Sindall group morgan sindall group to the council and its been like this for 2 years. Receptionist on the telephone has no idea on what to do, never has a manager or a supervisor at work. All we hear is they will phone back, we'll it's been 2 months and still waiting for a call back!!! We are calling the council every day of every week since October 2022 now and no progress has been done! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GET HOLD OF US AND HELP THE LEAK IN THE HOUSE, SOON IT'LL COLLAPSE
Rarely respond to any enquiry and the place feels like it has become run down. Lack of caring and priorities all wrong. Too many new large scale construction projects which makes the smaller problems bigger. They need to listen to residents more!
'Ringo', the company you have outsourced parking to are not fit for purpose and haven't been in the 13 years I have lived in W.Forest. The app & website continually refuse payment or crash randomly which has recently left me with a parking ticket you refused to overturn on this basis. Very corrupt and unfair way of treating people
Dealing with the council tax it is a nightmare. They been told me that my account is on old since September but their are unable to provide this detail to the enforcement agency. I been waiting for 2 months for my case to be reviewed. Funny fact, they asking me to pay tax for a room of a share house in a period where I was living already somewhere else!
Got a PCN charge on a vehicle when I used paybyphone app to pay for parking. When I contested it, showing them proof of purchase for parking, the reply was negative and still had to pay for the fine. Can't get hold of anyone as all calls are automated, and if you do get through to speak with a person you will wait for over an hour to be told that they can't help.
The council tax department need to get staff that have good customer services skills The person I spoke to concerning my council tax bill made me feel like she was talking to a child I inquired why have the council tax bill I received was written that I was receiving both my state pension and ESA BENIFIT together and added to calucate my council tax bill I do not receive my state pension until January 2023 then my ESA will stop She asked me what did she want me to do?????? Surely the council tax department know that you cannot get both esa and state pension together. And this is what the state pension informed me Waltham forest Council you need to train your staff to be more competent when speaking to the public. And who ever works out the council tax bills need to be retrained I got four council tax bills in one month. When I went online my council tax was different from the 4 letters I received .
